I condemned the sensor and wiring when it was this gauge all along. Garbage. Stay AWAY!! Parts store has a water temp gauge you can trust and works for $25.

Mounted on a 95 escort the original was obsolete, used the original sender and it seems to read within about 5 degrees of inferred temperature gun readings.

I installed it and it didn't work so I tested the components separately with know working Components and the temp sensor itself is faulty. The gauge works but it's extremely cheap. You get what you pay for.

Very inaccurate! Gage shows 200F plus but fitting, water pump housing and radiator are all below 170F. It’s junk. You get what you pay for.
