I bought this because it looked like a handy little tool that I could use to compress my brake calipers, but it turns out it is cheaply made (very rough cast metal) and even though it is supposed to be universal, there are caliper styles it does not work on. I would recomend just paying a little extra and getting an real caliper piston compressor.

Changed my rear brakes tonight and this tool was just what I needed to turn in the caliper piston.

I tried for an hour to get this to work on the rear brake cylinder on my Ford Explorer, but it just wouldn’t fit. I ended up renting one at AutoZone.
