I really like this stuff I’ve used it for years with Amazon. It’s sturdy and it makes my finish product of soap making or canning look really nice when I give homemade items for gifts. The price is good and you get a lot of the ribbon. It’s the right thickness and the colors are very pretty.

My two older cats fell in love with some raffia twine from a clothing purchase (hooray for natural packaging), but the natural material quickly got shredded by their claws during playtime.Pictured with a US nickel (and about the length I use for their "toy" strands). This spool is my attempt to cheaply make fresh "toys" for them. I suppose I could use it for tying presents or as a ribbon substitute, but my primary use case is the feline one. For that, it works well.

Not like raffia that you would have to spread. its thin but worked out.

Perfect white colour, good value but it’s very stiff so difficult to tie into bows. I’ll go back to the softer natural raffia.

I got this to crochet with as it was a lot cheaper than Wool and the Gang’s Ra-ra Raffia. Unfortunately it’s much tougher and too hard to crochet with.

Material not suitable for crocheting as it is stiff and hard on the wrist/hands.
