I really like the C-Tug as it is simple to use. I have carted my kayak over hard and soft surfaces including sand and impressed with the ease of doing so. I used it to haul my yak of 200 yards on a sandy beach and no issues. Can be a bit tricky getting it set up underneath the yak when kayak is fully loaded. What I like:Easy to put together and disassembleEasy to store in kayak on a trip in front hatchDoes not bog down in the sand or soft surfaces when carrying kayak (my kayak is 82lbs and pushing 100lbs when loaded with gear)What I don't like:A little priceyParts can get stuck together if you don't clean off sand where parts come together before assembly (doesn't take much)I would buy this again as it stores easily and is the best product on the market for my needs.

So the idea of an inflatable kayak is the portability. For this aging newbie sport kayaker - well, up to a point IMO. For me, the combined weight of a Sea Eagle 330, and all the stuff I dutifully take along (extra paddles, extra pump, bilge pump, med kit, and misc) probably added up to 50 lbs. that needed to be tracked to the water's edge. And IMO the Sea Eagle carry duffle bag with the single strap wasn't cutting it.As one You Tuber put it, getting in isn't the problem with inflatables. It's deflating and packing it out at the end of day. And I'm usually tired and just want to heave all in car and clean out next day. Chose this car over the Sea Eagle's own cart because the Sea Eagle cart didn't look that portable to me (if it was even supposed to work with the SE 330). This cart looked like it would break down fast and NOT puncture and inflatable when you stowed it.Which, it did, even with the Sand Trakz wheels, as a Sea Eagle 330 has plenty of room for the day tripper. The Sea Eagle sags a bit on the cart, and it is fiddly to get on the cart without the cart falling over, but I am still learning. But, the cart was easy to re-assemble, and just being able to tow all my stuff to the car was a beautiful thing.I had to watch a You Tube video to learn how to get the straps on, but as far as I can tell the product performs as advertised (even with this inflatable which it wasn't designed for), and no regrets so far on the purchase. (I might try bringing a pool noodle with me to strap under the kayak at day's end for support.) I also like I can buy parts or different wheels for the cart. Looking forward to having this when I have to drag all my stuff uphill at the end of day.

Absolutely wonderful yak wheels. This works great and never disappoints. Some of you say the strap is troublesome but I do not find that to be the case for me. Works like a charm. I bought mine last year so maybe they fixed it. I would highly recommend . I bought three other types of wheels before I saw this in action one day kayaking. Someone else had this and highly recommended it and they were right.I also bought the bigger beach sand wheels. They work great too but they don’t fit inside my dry wells. The regular size fits in great and easy to break down and put together when I’m coming and going from the water. No need to run up to your car and come back with your wheels. Worth every penny!

I bought this wheel set for a 3 Waters brand Big Fish 120 fishing kayak which weighs around 100 lb. The unit seems very well built, with the exception of the kickstand, as others have mentioned. My issues are specifically how it fits a typical tri-hull fishing kayak bottom. The two articulating pats are clearly designed to cradle a mono-hull boat. While it is possible to use it with my kayak, the wheel set must be carefully centered on the kayak's width and the kayak's weight ends up being carried on only the outside third of each of the two pads. The other issue I have is with the Sandtrackz wheels. The design of the wheels allows for a larger contact patch than a standard tire, with is beneficial in loose soils and sand. However, to achieve this bigger patch the wheel deforms considerably. Imagine a normal pneumatic tire that's drastically underinflated so that it's not flat, but getting there. This makes the rolling resistance higher than a solid tire when transporting on firm surfaces. So, before you choose this sand wheel option, be aware of the trade-off.Another minor nit would be the buckle on the strap that secures the wheels set to the bottom of the kayak. It works fine for taking up slack in the strap but really isn't any help in cinching it down snugly. I would have preferred a small ratchet strap mechanism, especially for my application where secure lateral placement of the wheels is critical. Again, probably not as big an issue for a mono-hull kayak.

Bought this for my Old Town Heron Tandem kayak, which is around 70 lbs empty. I have only used it once while in Florida. We carried the kayak with all our gear including a small cooler to and from the river put in. Sure was easy to use and worked very nicely. Mine has the sand track wheels. With all the weight I carry I think maybe the harder wheels would roll easier. I may end up buying the harder wheels. The cart assembles and takes apart super easy, which is a feature you won’t find on other carts, nor ones that will easily stow in the kayak. I am super pleased with this product. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

Although a little skeptical at first, I figured I'd work with the money back guarantees and try it out.My kayak is a heavy 16' Old Town fishing unit that is always the chore to get to the water.First time out we used it in a gravelled parking lot leading to a very rocky beach front and then sand. One person trip, we hooked the kayak onto the C-tug as it was coming off the truck and my son wheeled it away right into the water and at the end of the day easily transported the kayak back to the truck. It works as good as we could ask for. Thanks, it has made launch and retrieval a lot easier.

Care needed to lift kayak straight into cradle but not a real problem. Rolls fabulously over pebbly beach. Ties need to be cut to appropriate length but really work well. Very glad I got this and will buy one for my wife’s kayak and one for sisters kayak. Great product
