I had a very disintegrating stick shift knob. The rubber was just melting away. This cover was very tight form the start and i had to cut away a small amount of the original rubbery shift knob so the new cover would fit down on the knob without making a mess. This looks great and no more sticky knob!

Cover doesn’t fit. Product is so firm and stiff, it messed up my gear shift way more than what it originally was :/ what a HUGE disappointment

Is this cover meant to go over the original know or do I remove the original knob and replace it with this one? I put it over it, but it doesn't cover the original knob along the sides. Please help!
