These are nice little dishes, though the glass is thin and they feel fragile. I saw some note that these are smaller than they expected so I will mention they were exactly the size I was expecting. 4 oz = 1/2 cup - and these do comfortably hold that much with a bit of extra room at the top. I would personally not use these for creme brulee, as I just prefer a shallow ramekin for that. But these are ideal for single servings of other simple custard desserts, or for yogurt and such. Also good for prepping while cooking and pre-measuring out your ingredients.

These are cute and sturdy ramekins, however, these are smaller than I thought and pictured. I think size wise these are perfect for small desserts or sauce containers. These are also a really good price!

At first when I ordered these, I was excited to have ramekins, since I only had a couple mismatched ones. When I received them, they did appear too small for using to make desserts in, but then again, I haven’t made anything like that in a couple years, when my youngest left to get her Ph.D.But I keep finding myself pulling out more ramekins, one at a time. I have been using them to hold ingredients that I’ve measured, or for a little container for condiments, and just about anything else that they work well for. I cook a lot, so pre-measuring ingredients is a great way to make new recipes, to stay on track.These ramekins are made out of Borosilicate glass, which is used in Chemical Beakers, so it’s very strong. You wouldn’t want a broken beaker of chemicals running everywhere! I personally have a number of measuring cups that are used everyday out of Borosilicate glass, and am very happy with them. They are clear in color. The glass may seem thin, but because of the material used, I’m not concerned about it.Yes, I do recommend these ramekins. .

These 4 oz bowls are the perfect size for custards and puddings and even mini trifles. They are said to be oven safe though I don't know if they are made of borosilicate glass. They are also perfect as dipping bowls for little pierogies, gyoza and dumplings. Everyone always wants their own dipping bowl. I like having 6 bowls that all match and, to me, they are prettier than white ceramic ramekins. Recommended

In the picture, the ramekins are next to the other 3 items for scale These are thin and lightweight. The glass is perfectly see through. The size of the 4oz ramekins are quite small and the glass is unsubstantial. Also, these do not stack so these will take up more space than most ramekins that stack.Glass see thru ramekins like this look much nicer with a pretty dessert in it, especially one with fruit such as berries.If you enjoy having different size ramekins available like I do, these will be nice to have for options. I will most likely use these for eating small snacks since I watch my portions but I can see myself putting a decadent scoop of ice cream in it for special occasions. I also think mousse or the crème brûlée would be nice in these due to the richness of the dessert only a small ramekin is needed.
