Nice design; haven’t used it for extended period of time, but the design is much more comfortable than previous neck straps I’ve used and seems durable. Distributes weight of instrument well; seems more ergonomic in design. Used for an alto sax.

This neck strap has a spreader bar at the bottom which keeps the strap from pressing on the sides of your neck like a typical neck strap does. As a result, it's much more comfortable, increases blood flow through the neck area, and allows for easier breathing. The strap has several parts to it. The first is the padded leather part that goes around your neck. The padding is very comfortable, and distributes the weight of the instrument well. The leather feels a little thin, but does the job. Attached to the padded part is a cord that runs down the rest of the strap. This cording runs through grommets, and seems sturdily attached. In the middle of the cord is the spreader bar, made from shiny, brass-colored metal which is sturdy and doesn't bend. The spreader bar keeps the cords spaced about 5 inches apart. You can slide it up and down, and that adjusts the total length of the strap. At its longest, the strap is about 22 inches from the back of your neck to the bottom of the hook. The hook itself is a spring-loaded clasp. It will not release from the instrument unless you manually open it. The hook appears to have a plastic coating, to prevent it from scratching the instrument. Overall, this strap is much better than any basic strap, and makes a big difference in your ability to breathe easily while playing. It's well worth its price.

I ordered this neck strap as something inexpensive and comfortable for my alto sax. When it arrived, however, I was pretty disappointed.First off, this is too big to fit an alto sax. Even when I pulled the neck strap to the shortest possible length, I still had to use pliers to unclasp and readjust the line. While this isn't the end of the world, I expected that this would fit out of the box, especially since it's advertised as such.The material is comfortable, but I noticed the durability isn't very great. Some of the stitches have already pulled out and I'm expecting more in the future. Additionally, the design does take some weight off your neck, but the gold centerpiece in the middle looks a little goofy.Overall, it's difficult to recommend this product. Perhaps if it was advertised more accurately or the quality was higher, I'd be able to focus more on the positives. But for now, there are better options avaliable.
