Installation Steps

  1. Loosen the lug nuts for the wheels you will be working on, jack the machine up and properly support it. Then, remove the wheel.
  2. Remove the lower shock bolt and, if necessary, zip-tie the shock up out of the way.
  3. You will need to remove the brake line from the clamp that secures it.
  4. Remove the pinch bolt for the upper ball joint.
  5. Finally, you can loosen the mounting bolts, pull them out and remove the A-arm from the machine.
  6. We lightly clamped the A-arm in a vise with soft jaws to hold it while we worked. I
  7. Use cloth or paper shop towels and contact cleaner to clean the parts up well.
  8. Grease the inside and outside of the new bushings before you push them in.
  9. After the bushings are greased and pressed in (we did it with our hands with no problem), grease the inner sleeve and slide it in.
  10. It is finally time to mount the freshly rebuilt and greased A-arm with the new bolt. E
  11. Now it is time to attach the ball joint and insert and tighten the pinch bolt.
  12. While you are doing the assembly, just snug the bolts up.

These bushings on our sportsman 400 ATV were almost all either broken or gone all together. I couldn't really tell they were in such bad shape. I replaced the rear axels and when you're doing that you will be running across these bushings on the hubs, control arms etc. As you disassemble things to move or remove to get t the axels, you're gonna be in there anyways. A few more bolts removed and you can replace everything. This kit has all the bushings to do an entire rear suspension left and right. These are the plastic sheaths that bolts go into and separate metal parts of the suspension so there's no metal on metal contact. If you have an ATV that has been around for more than 5 years have a look at these especially when replacing an axel. The kit is pretty cheap I think it was like 15 bucks. These help keep everything tight and not clanking and clunking. They fit correctly and are easy to install. Slide out the old ones and slide these in. I highly recommend them. Check them out. The pictures are of my last axel replace Project. You'll see how bad the bushings are crumbling away.Take care this kit is short 4 bushings to do the entire both sides. Youll need 4 more short thin bushings to complete both sides. You can cut down 4 of the long ones and then you'll have a perfect kit.

The fitment was impressive and quality of the bushing was superb for the price point.

These bushings are a hard plastic not polly or rubber. My kit was missing some of the thin short bushings. Honestly you get what you pay for haven't tested them out but don't have much faith in durability. It's takes force to install these might clean the inside of the arm out but it's tight even clean. Overall 3/5 it's the same as every other one it does work just a bad design and I was missing parts be sure to check yours before you start the install.

Ordered 2 sets of the bushings to do a 6x6 ranger. The set worked except for the long bushings. They are for something like a 1/2 rod, the bushings on a 6x6 are more like a 5/8 rod. Ended up having to order those bushings from the dealer which I will say that the bushings in this kit seemed to be made from similar materials as the dealers bushings. Just a heads up you will need a press or at least a large C-clamp to install the bushings and metal inserts in the A arms.

If i could i would give it a negative 1 star review.Product not worth the money. Bushings are hard plastic and I.D. Is not correct. While installing bushings and spacers. Bushings started breaking. Do not use product. Go ahead and buy good aftermarket or order OEM parts.
