I needed this size brush for smaller detail. The hairs are springy which is important to me. Well made and the hairs are ample. For the price it is excellent.

I guess this speaks for the hardiness of the brush...it came in a too small, flimsy plastic bag that was BENDING the bristles almost in half. NO sort of bristle protection what so ever. But to my relief (and amazement) the brush point immediately returned to its intended shape and so far has held a firm point. I suppose the seller knew the brush would be OK but just a bit more care with packaging would improve my rating.

The brush is fine. However, they wrap two different sticky tapes around the brush that are VERY difficult to cut off and very unprofessional to wrap the brush in this way. What happened to plastic tubes or even using a tube of paper.

These are made out of the same filaments as their series 488. Holds a lot of water for a synthetic brush. Has a snap to it yet is soft. And the price is on the their cheaper side! Great quality brushes these are!
