From the measurements I took of my hands, large should have been perfect, but they're still loose on me, I think medium would have been perfect. Because they're loose, it makes it more difficult to get a grip while using the gloves. Not terrible and I think if they were the right size that they'd work well.

I ordered these curious about the extra flap and how it would look & feel on the glove. This is the first pair of anything I've tried like it (with the flap) and it just seems odd to have an extra flap there. Overall the glove feels nice - good touch to the leather, and seems like they'd probably last, but I don't think I'll be able to get over the flap configuration - why not just have double layering on the inside of the hand around the palm and first segment of finger? You may have an easier time than I getting used to it. Overall I'm hopeful the advertised 'kevlar' stitching will last longer, otherwise, these gloves would be considered very cheaply made. Hoping they hold up!

Ordered a size L because that's what the sizing chart recommended. Fingers and thumb are all way too long. The fit everywhere else is fine, so I doubt a size M would have fit me very easily. Other than that, they feel well made and the leather is nice.

The gloves are true to fit and feel like softer leather work gloves. The reinforced palm looks useful for working with ropes, chains, or similar work items.

As other reviews have noted here, these gloves have a rather odd design, where there is essentially a cuff of leather extending from the top of your palm to about halfway up each finger for the entire width of your hand. I suppose if all you were using these for is rope handling, this additional wear surface might be a benefit. However, I find that it makes everyday use kind of cumbersome.Otherwise, the quality of leather is pretty decent, and the stitching appears to be well-executed. It's just a shame that an otherwise decent pair of leather gloves is ruined by a rather odd design choice.

These gloves arrived in 1 day and are great. Needed some gloves with the extra palm protection. They fit as described. May order more.
