I had the panic and the heartbreak of losing my brakes in cold and rainy weather. Step on the pedal, no movement. Had to be cold AND rainy (snowy would do).After looking at everything else I reasoned it may be the power booster check valve. Sure enough, I removed the old valve and found that if I sucked in air, then GENTLY reduced pressure and GENTLY blew in, I could get air to go the wrong way!!! ARRGH!!! Brake Failure!This valve is solidly made and securely one-way. Takes a lot of vacuum to get air moving in. Trust in this, gets my strongest approval.

I decided to renew all the brakes on my '78 Ranchero and decided to make sure the power booster had the best chance of working properly. This seemed to be the only item I needed to assure success with the new brake system.

I had purchased a 'one size fits most' grommet for my brake booster a year ago. It just never fit right, and disintegrated the last time I removed it to work on my Bronco II. I ordered this and am very satisfied with the quality of the part. I expect this to last much longer than the one I got at AutoZone, it's denser rubber and feels much more sturdy.

What can I say. I needed it due to the original cracking. This fixed the problem. If it was any easier to replace it would install itself
