What is the difference between 3:1 pitch and 2:1 pitch?
- 2:1 pitch wire-o binding are designed to fit the signature hole pattern of a 2:1 pitch wire binding machine (Two holes per inch = 21 holes for letter-size = Binding 11" length).
- 3:1 pitch wire-o binding are designed to fit the signature hole pattern of a 3:1 pitch wire binding machine (Three holes per inch = 32 holes for letter-size = Binding 11" length).
This is very important distinguish 3:1 from 2:1 cause the things to be as different. They are used with different binding machine.

Product Review: Rayson WR32159M Wire Binding SpinesThese binding spines are decent overall, but they have some drawbacks. While I appreciate the variety of colors—black, gold, blue, white, and silver—they occasionally bind incorrectly, which can make my notebooks difficult to close properly. When they work as intended, the finished notebooks look great, but the inconsistency can be frustrating. If the binding mechanism were more reliable, this would be an excellent product. For now, it’s a good option if you need colorful binding wires but can tolerate a bit of trial and error.

These wire rings say that they are 3 in 1. They probably are on other binding machines. However with the Cinch Mini machine they only fit the Spiral punch which is a 4 in 1. Just something to note. Otherwise they are great

Please avoid using this wire. While it comes in multiple colors in one package, the quality of the material used for certain colors is very low. As a result, you will not be able to bind any booklet without it being distorted.I had purchased this product for my design class, so that my students could have the option to choose colored wire that matched with their designs. Unfortunately, none of the blue, black, or white wires were usable. We were only able to use the gold wire as it was the only color that could bind the booklet without causing any distortion. We ended up throwing away all the colored wires.I would not recommend purchasing this product.
