Originally I bought a smaller rip stick for my son and my husband loved it! He used it everyday but both him and my son had issues getting started and going over bumps in the road. It was also impossible to go up hill. It got plenty of use regardless. I bought this model for my husband so they could go "rippin'" together (their words not mine lol). This far surpassed our expectations. It was larger so it was far less awkward to stand on, it was far more easy to use, you could go faster, bumps are no issue, up hill was a breeze, and the construction is amazing. I will be recommending this!!

Purchased to replace my son's Ripster that he finally outgrew. Purchasing a RipStik was one of the best toy purchases I have ever made! Both my kids (boy and girl now ages 15 and 16) have one and have used them since they were 10, first using the smaller Ripster, and now the full-sized RipStik. (If your kid is under the age of 13, I highly recommend starting with the smaller Ripster so they don't have to stretch their legs quite so far!) This was one of those toys I said would either be a total flop or the best thing ever. Well, happily, the latter is true! So popular, now our whole youth group has one because they were so enthralled watching my kids on theirs! Both kids learned inside (I have hardwood floors) by going around and around my kitchen table, holding on when needed. No marks on my floor either! Then they practiced going down the hallway, where walls were available for support when needed. After a few weeks, they were unstoppable anywhere! So much more fun than a skateboard! My son can turn on a dime in the tightest of spaces, and can propel himself on even flat surfaces with no need to push off with one foot. They love riding it in our church basement, which is smooth concrete! I'm still amazed watching them on this thing! Reminds me of surfing! Upper body is nearly motionless as feet and legs discreetly maneuver the foot plates by merely shifting weight. Great for any paved surface, but the smoother the better. Surfaces with random pebbles or rocks should be avoided, as hitting one can stop you in your tracks. Get one!

bought last summer. used heavily for recreation then, and even to rock campus over the winter. It's taken the sidewalk salt like a champ. Don't grind or anything intense, just got it cuz reports said it was sturdier/smoother ride. wheels need replacing here and there. (I tried that cheap skate wheel trick, but they melted/wore down in 2 minutes banking on a steep hill, and I kept getting hurt from skid outs.) I've dismantled and cleaned the wheel bits once, and that went well. Noticing the front... i dunno, top thin plastic bit, is starting to separate. mostly snaps back down into place, and the grips (separate part) are still rock solid. I'm happy. :)

I'm a college student looking to pick up a new hobby. I saw this toy on line and decided to give it a go. I never stepped on a skateboard before in my life. I had previously done a little snowboarding which helped get me used to the balance of this board. The ripstik is difficult to get the hang of at first. It required some trial and error at first to get used to gliding along on two wheels. However, once you get used to it, there's nothing quite like it. As you become more experienced, turns can be made in the blink of an eye, sharp turns, slow sliding turns, if you're careful enough and balanced well, you can have some serious control over this board. I'm still a beginner and don't do anything crazy with it but the ripstik is fun even just riding up and down a smooth road. The swivel motion to get it going takes some practice but just like anything else it becomes easier as you go along. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who likes riding boards or just being outside on a sunny day and gliding around. It feels like surfing or snowboarding without water or snow. Just remember the ground is pretty punishing. I highly recommend protective gear until you become good at it. Great fun though, definitely worth picking up.

Good for kids/teens. Hard to pick up, but once you got it, you got it. It’s my opinion that tricks are harder on these (since you have to balance more) but it’s honestly a flex enough riding on a 2 wheel skateboard. If you wanna skate with the boys, it’s not a bad option.

If you are a little over weight like 220 or 250 this is your choice of a RipStick. The RipStick "G" Caster Board is a lot smoother than the original RipStick. It easier to go up small hills and easier to learn to ride on. It's also a bit stronger than the original too, because it has the Grinder metal piece in the middle for grinding on and it also work as a support, that's why it's good for heavier people. I love it! I weighted 230 at the time and now I'm 200 lbs and I had it for over 3 months and it's still in great shape, after using it at least 3 times a week or more! I highly recommend this product to all ages.

Awesome santa's gift! 8yr old & hubby love riding them. We got 2 and our friends who tried them rushed out to get them well. It's still too advance for my 5yr old but he will eventually grow into it. They r nice and sturdy and good for people who like to surf, snowboard, and roller blade etc..oh and they don't catch on fire either like some other ones out there we see on the news=3

a bitt too expensive, as i’ve already bought one a couple of years back for only 100 Jordanian dollars, this currency is less than Euro’s, this one is a whooping 173 Euro’s, thats just crazy. only reason i bought this is that the town i’m in does not sell ANY type of ripstick, go look for better offers before even considering to pay this much for this waveboard, also this waveboard is mostly for professionals hence the G, which stands for grinder, if you aren’t planning on doing dangerous stunts don’t buy it either, theres many types of other waveboards that are MUCH cheaper. as a professional of 8 years of riding this specfic waveboard its a real shame and i feel its like monopoly at this point since i have no other option but buying it. but you do.

Bought as a birthday present for my 11 year old son. It arrived within days (standard shipping) and he's been riding it non-stop ever since. This is a really cool skateboard. It takes a little practice to get on/off but the natural movement and weightshifting is so fluid. Wheels look really solid and like they will last. I was surprised that he can board over small obstacles (twigs, etc) without any issues. Fantastic board!
