We have two fireplaces, and one is a two-sided see-thru one. After spending over $1200 for a local company to install gas logs in our main family room masonry fireplace, I decided to order this unit for our secondary installation and did it myself. Honestly, this RealFyre burner combined with the Grand Canyon Arizona Weathered Oak See-Through Logs (AWOST24LOGS ) turned out better than the more expensive unit for considerably less investment. I skipped installing a pilot light ignition system because we will use this unit less often and saw no reason for the added expense. The two-sided burner system works and looks great and it was very simple to install. The included embers and lava rocks are enough to cover both sides of the unit, and the burner generates plenty of flame and heat in the two rooms of our fireplace.
