Fun item for a desk or shelf. Came with plenty of letters to write all sorts of things. I wish it was a little heavier of a frame but works just fine.

You will want a wire cutter tool and something to store the letters in once you are done cutting them all out. I mean, theoretically, you could twist each letter off by hand, but why would you do that to your hands? A wire cutter also gives you an easier time of cutting off the tiny bits of flashing (leftover bits of plastic) securing each letter to the plastic frame it was molded from.In my case, I got one of those plain, 36-cell craft organizers that's basically a clear box with a bunch of dividers in it. It worked perfectly by letting me put each of the letters and numbers in their own slots, then all the periods and commas in another slot, and finally the remaining punctuation in the last slot. The symbols and cursive lettering, I put in a separate baggie since I probably won't be using anything other than the included paperclips very often.It's cute! It has a nice, solid black background that makes the letters show up well and, thus far, hasn't attracted the ever-present dust I'm forever cleaning up. I expect a lint roller will be handy when that does occur. My photos make it look grey but that's just poor lighting -- it really is a nice, soft, matte black.Aside from needing to cut out each of the letters and symbols, the entire board otherwise comes per-assembled and ready to use, which I was most glad for. I may add some additional picture-hanging hardware later, but it's good on its easel for now. As it's a new novelty, it's currently being used for cute phrases and memes but its intended use in my household is for reminders for everyone to keep aware of, ones that won't get accidentally erased from our dry-erase board or buried in a personal calendar. But, who knows, maybe it'll become our permanent meme board instead!! The world is full of possibilities!

Arrives with everything you need to create a sign straight out of the box. Felt rails are nice and even, making your letters and message even as well.Letters do need to be cut from their plastic holders but it's easy to do with a strong pair of snips.White letters are traditional with this type message board but it's the included GOLD letters that really make this item stand up above other options.Gold letters look awesome against the black felt!! They really accent your message and just like the white, they have the same little pegs that hold them in the felt rails.Block print, cursive and punctuation are all included with this kit.No letters were loose or crooked once applied to the board.A storage bag is also included for all of the letters not being used on the board. Some cute icons are also included with letters - coffee cup, daisy, sun, etc.12 inch x 17 inch is an ideal size for display at an event and board has its own easel stand firmly attached on its back or it can be mounted on a wall with included hardware.Love this board!! Price point might be considered a little high but those gold letters make it worth the purchase.

The letters for this board were very small. They almost need a second size of letter. They were almost too small for the board which was disappointing. The board is very nice and high quality though, so if you find other letters, it would be fine unless you need tiny letters, then this is perfect!
