How to lay artificial grass?
Artificial grass is becoming ever more popular with homeowners in the US as it offers a low maintenance alternative to grass. However, some are still hesitant, as they believe it is too costly. What many people don’t consider is installing artificial grass yourself could offer a considerable saving, and we are going to look at how to lay artificial grass.
Installation method:
- Cut up the existing lawn to the required depth.
- Level the area ready for the sand aggregate to be laid.
- Insert a treated edging around the perimeter to secure the membrane & grass onto.
- Screed over and compact the area with a 20mm layer of grit sand.
- Secure onto the framework a heavy duty permeable membrane over the sand to act as a weed barrier,
- Lay, trim & cut to size the artificial grass.
- Secure the artificial grass onto the treated timber frame-work with either galvanised screws or staple gun.
- Brush up the grass pile with heavy-duty brushes or AGM electric power brush.
QUALITY AND DURABILITY OF LITA GRASS

- UV stability and colour-fastness so that the turf did not discolour.
- Safety: no heavy metals, such as lead and zinc, or other substances in the raw materials, which could put users at risk.

We were tired of our dogs coming in with dirt on all the time. we decided to go with artificial turf to reduce the dirt and mud. We did our whole backyard with turf. I had to order additional rolls and they were the same as our initial rolls. I was afraid they would differ. So far we love it. It looks amazing. My husband and I installed it ourselves. It is a lot of work, but well worth it. I’m excited to have a backyard grand opening for our family and friends. We have just finished laying it, so not sure how well it cleans or holds up.

We had a barren spot on our pool patio where bushes once were. This was a great option; easy to maintain and much prettier than a dirt spot. This stuff gets HOT, so barefoot beware! And my dog won't place a paw on it (either the heat or texture). Placing anything on it wears it down quick - treat it like shag carpet. Leaf Blower is a quick clean up. Being an odd shape we had to trim to fit. Install was a breeze with the right tools. Heavy duty scissors WILL NOT DO! I must recommend getting a carpet cutter tool, worked great! We used the nail type pins, and holds it in place perfectly. If Placing on solid dirt, I also recommend a light 1/2" - 1" layer of all purpose sand before install. It gives it a little extra cushion and quicker drainage between it and the dirt.

I bought the 105 Sq feet rug for a 16 panel dog cage. My back yard is full of mud this time of year and the pups would come in covered. I laid this myself using stakes in about 15 minutes. Very easy! The dogs love it and there is NO MORE MUD!!! Great product. I scoop the poop right off of it with no getting caught in the grass anymore. I can't say enough good things about this and I am so happy I bought it.

The artificial grass was perfect for my needs. And believe this once installed I swept over all of it and it looked so much like real grass. Actually you deserve (10) ten stars. The material underneath it felt so good on the ground I laid down on it and went to sleep. Wow love it. Thanks

After 2 weeks of installing this it started to dry out.When I tried to return it they wanted it on original packaging and unused. These came from 2 seperate rolls that I purchased. What a waste of money and labor.
