This item seemed frivolous so i didn't have it for my first 3 kiddos but found myself too tired to think this 4th time so splurged. Wished I did it a lot sooner! So easy to use and I love that it's rechargeable! I don't have to worry I've burnt them since I'm a lover of hot water and the bigger kids find it so cute. Worth it!

Love the otter design and how it shows the temperature plus a color to go along with it. The fact that it is rechargeable is just the cherry on top!

Great idea and was wonderful when it worked. Battery seemingly died after four months. After replacing with new batteries, the unit would not turn back on. There did not appear to be any water damage.

I ordered this product for use with a newborn infant, but this is a super cool item which can be used throughout life. It would be appropriate for someone whose skin is not sensitive to heat, to ensure they don't get into a scalding bath, and it would also be great for the elderly so that they can know exactly the temperature of their bath water before stepping in, to help avoid injury.First of all, this is a very cute bath thermometer, a light gray baby seal with a nicely formed face. The design is wonderful: it floats face up as it should so that you can see the thermometer, and the electronics do not get damaged by water (no need to ensure some flimsy compartment stays shut).Second, it works exactly as promised... it turned on almost immediately once placed in the water and it continued to monitor water temperature so that I would know when the temperature was too hot or cool at the start and then I could continue to see the temp so I'd know when it becomes too cool. The ring on the seal's belly changes color depending on water temperature... red is too hot (at or above 102.2 F), green is ideal, and blue is likely too cool (at or below 96.8 F), and it is accurate within +/-2 degrees F. The display also shows the temperature digitally (i.e. 83).Once I took the thermometer out of the water, the temperature immediately started declining until it turned off within 30 seconds. It will also turn off after 20 minutes in the water, so that's a good indication that bath time is up! The digital display will also reflect battery life, so you'll when its time to recharge; a USB cable is included (but not the charging block that it plugs into; I guess manufacturer's assume we have plenty of these lying around our homes).I am very pleased with this cute seal thermometer and highly recommend it!

I got this rechargeable bath thermometer for my own baths! It's nice to know exactly what temperature your bath is at, and to learn which temperature you like it to be. Knowledge is power, especially when we're out of our element. Anyway, it charged up quickly and was easy to use. The display is easy to read and seems to accurately detect the water temperature. Overall, I'd recommend it.
