My kids brought home a recorder so I decided to get one to join them. They can't carry a tune in a bucket, but my wife remembers a tune from yesteryear (blue in the skies, green in the trees, red in the sunset, all set to please....). This recorder is durable and easy to use and clean.

When I was young, I wanted to play an instrument. I tried a few, but the recorder turned out to be my favorite. The one I used to have was basically a plastic tube with holes in it.This recorder is much more than that! For one thing, it can be tuned. The fingering holes for the right ring and little fingers can be angled perfectly, and it’s a cinch to clean! The included cleaning tool works perfectly. A little bit of cloth— I use a microfiber cloth—wrapped around the tool, and I could clean the instrument easily. Being able to remove the foot and headjoint meant I could be sure they too were thoroughly clean and ready. It has been a while since I played one of these, so the first piece in my recital will be a song about a girl whose lamb followed her to school one day.Seriously though, this recorder is well made, with care and thought clearly put into its creation. It's a fantastic choice for beginners, kids, and anyone looking to enjoy playing music at home.

My wife and I are both very experienced recorder players, and although we already have WAY too large of a collection of all the different sizes, makes, and materials, we thought it would be interesting to give this one a try, since it's from an Asian manufacturer we had never heard of before. We do have very similar plastic Yamaha recorders that we travel with, so used those as a comparison. The "fit and finish" of this recorder is surprisingly nice; very close in quality to the (much) more expensive Yamaha ones (even though it looks very much the same). We were impressed that the recorder came in a decent clear plastic carrying bag, with a cleaning rod and a dual-fingering chart. Also, like "real" recorders, this one comes in three sections, which is ideal as you can adjust the last section to your own particular hand/finger structure. Most of the cheap recorders I have seen do not have this feature (they come in either one solid piece, or maybe two pieces), so this is excellent. I did have to laugh, though - my wife apparently didn't know this one was voiced for the German fingering, and we have always used baroque fingering, which is quite a bit different for some notes. She tried it out, immediately pronounced it to be "junk," and said she was really disappointed. I picked it up and played a scale perfectly, and she basically freaked out and thought she had lost all her hard-earned recorder-playing expertise! So, word of warning --- if you or your child is using this for lessons, or for school, make sure which kind of recorder the instructor wants you to get (German or baroque), so you're not disappointed if it's the wrong one! In my experience, baroque is much more common here in the U.S. than German is. If you're getting this instrument to learn by yourself, then you should have no issues at all (or obviously if you already know and use German fingering). The sound is nice and mellow and the notes sound easily without undue squeaks or breaking of octaves (that is, unless you accidentally try using baroque fingering on it...LOL!!!).All told, this is a very nice recorder at an extremely good price, and we both would highly recommend this based on the features and sound quality.

Bought for my kids. Looks like and sounds like every kids recorder I've ever encountered before. The accessories are everything you'd want and the price is reasonable. I am pleased with this item.

My 11 year old son had been asking for a recorder for a while so I picked him up one at a dollar store for a few bucks, thinking they were all basically the same. He didn't much play with it, and was more or less uninterested , or so I thought. I ordered this one on a whim and it is night and day in the difference of sounds, quality of instrument, and the interest from my son went full throttle when he received this one! It's got a nice little instruction booklet to help guide placement of fingers for more complicated songs, but I loved the weight of it and it's about as perfect as it gets to teach any aged beginner the basics of reading music and training the ear to recognize notes. Highly recommended!

This is a good recorder with good sound. Great for learning music. The fingering guide included helps with learning. It's a classic German flute that has a good, rich sound.

My nephew is very musical and he love to play his recorder. There is no better endorsement than that!

These recorders are just like the ones given out in elementary school music classes, much to the delight of the kids' parents. They actually sound pretty nice. For the price, you could do much worse.
