I was a little skeptical because the material is dense and a little stiff , but at 40 in of torque, it did compres to seal nicely, and I like that it was strong enough to raise the ac off the roof for easier cleaning under the ac. The only con is that it is not a true one piece, it is 4 pieces glued together. But I don't think it will be an issue..

I used this gasket after my original was ruined (my fault). After removing the original gasket and thoroughly cleaning the surface, I was able to match the lines from the old gasket perfectly. The adhesive was great with no worries about it letting loose in the future. This fit the opening perfectly with the proper amount of gasket overhang in the inside. I torqued the bolts to the just less than 5 ft lbs that is recommended and retightened to just about 4 ft lbs after about 3 weeks and two trips. The reason I said it could be more stout is that it compressed more than I had anticipated, but so far it has not settled any more. I was worried about the AC screws settling into the roof material, but it seems to be holding position ok after another couple months and several long trips. I did not use the provided support strip as the factory supports are still ok. I would purchase again in a pinch, but I might look for a different brand first for comparison. Last comment, and most importantly, no leaks so far!
