This is plastic but a perfect replacement for the original I just decided to get a copper type metal one for added strength but this worked perfect will keep it as a spare if for some reason the other doesn’t work out

I had a need to replace the city water inlet on my motorhome. Tried two others, one with metal threads, one with plastic and both were a no go. Of course there was no information on the original to go by. On the third try, this one was a perfect thread match, and no leaks.
