I chose this because it was exactly the same model as the one previously installed by the HVAC company a few years ago. They charge a bunch to replace these when they go bad, so I ordered and installed it myself. It was all very easy. For safety, make sure to disconnect the condenser's power plug or turn off the circuit breaker before beginning.

Local company wanted 550.00 Dollars to replace mine. The tech had a heart and told me to get this on Amazon. Disconnected 2 wires and attached the 2 new wires in less than 5 min. My unit is pushing 25 years old and it runs like a champ!

I ordered this product and paid more for it assuming that it was made in the USA as indicated in the product picture. I had previously ordered a less expensive version and discovered that it was made in China. I did not want to install it and ordered one that I thought was made in the USA. Paid $15 more for the identical item. False advertising!

I am a retired electrical lineman and I know how to safely work on electrical equipment. This part was simple to install. However, if you do not know how to safely work on electrical equipment I recommend you hire a professional. This solved the hard start issue on my 19 year old ac condenser. Hopefully I can get a few more years of service life out of it.

During Spring check up was told my capacitor was going bad and that besides a new capacitor I really needed a Kickstart Kit to prolong its life... For the Capacitor, hard start and one hours labor they wanted $533... Seemed atrocious and after looking at how to on You tube and looking at the Amazon prices all in all done -Quick Start, capacitor, and about 20 minutes labor I'm over $400 richer... Was so easy to install -you do need a couple of self tapping sheet metal screws -for some reason not included but so easy.
