The hat arrived crush and lopsided. The wiring inside the rim of the hat is hard to reshape. The rating was truly for the tie.

My daughters always seem to require multiple Halloween costumes and they're reluctant to re-wear old costumes unless they're completely fabulous. This hat/headband and oversized bow combo makes creating a costume simple. They can pair these items with a black bodysuit or black dress to create their Cat in the Hat look. The headband is comfortable and the bow can either be slung around the neck or also attached to another piece of clothing.My one complaint is that the brim of the hat turns up so the underside stitching and seaming is visible. I tried bending the brim but it doesn't work. Also, the hat itself is squished in at the top. I'm going to mitigate this issue by stuffing the top of the hat with tissue paper to help the seams appear less concave at the top.

This is a serviceable cat in the hat bow tie and headband. The hat itself was very small, and squished when it arrived. It required me stuffing it with paper in order for the hat to stay filled out. The headband was a typical, inexpensive headband that it was glued to. The bow tie came with a velcro fastener and was covered in sequin. This set is overall okay, but not that great.
