The Grit Guard Washboard works in conjunction with the Grit Guard Insert in your wash bucket to separate the grit from the mitt! Like it's sister product, the Grit Guard Insert, the Grit Guard Washboard has NO flat surfaces for dirt or grit to be collected. Contaminants are extracted from cleaning tools while rubbing them on the downward stoke against the Washboard. Particles such as dirt, grit and grime from your wash mitt are the root cause of scratches and swirls in your vehicles finish. By using the Grit Guard Washboard together with the Grit Guard Insert you are insuring a clean, scratch-free wash mitt every time you go back to the bucket for water. All of the potentially harmful dirt settles in the bottom of the bucket, keeping it away from your mitt and away from your paint. This simple and cost effective method protects your precious painted surfaces from being scratched and saves your paint from swirl marks and scratches.

It looks simple enough, but a lot of time and effort went into this design in order to give you the most flexibility for your wide variety of tools. The wide flat design works with the largest variety of mitts, brushes, mops, and microfiber applicators. Giving you a product you can use in multiple scenarios; such as washing your car, boat, RV, garage floor, house siding and windows.

Multiple Applications
Long Handled Brush
Great for cleaning RVs, Boats, and the Home. The wide flat design allows you to remove the dirt, grit, and grime from your brush so you don't reapply it and scratch your finish
Sponge Mop
Don't spread the dirt around. Clean your mop head on the Washboard surface and watch the dirt fall to the bottom of the bucket where it belongs.
Window Cleaning
Reduce the streaks and do-overs, using the Washboard to quickly clean and fluff the microfiber pad so you can keep moving with confidence.

I purchased two of these this last summer to use in my wash routine. Works to scrub your wash mitt during rinse. I use the second in my wheel bucket. They work as advertised. Wish I had gotten them sooner!

This is a nice upgrade to the Grit Guard. The original Grit Guard is an absolute essential car washing accessory. This washboard add-on is definitely not as essential but it can't hurt to have more surface to scrub the dirt from your wash mitt.

Works as intended. It does help to use this as it's more vertical, than the horizontal one and having to bend the wrist more. This allows you to barely need to bend the wrist. Very ergonomic!

Very simple, very useful. Makes rinsing my mitt a lot easier than trying to sinking it into the bucket and hoping I don't pull it back up once I'm done.

Works well. Catches the dirt. One caveat, it doesn't secure very well to the bottom guard. Disconnects when you don't want it to. Still like it though.

Used on top of a generic grit guard to brush wash mitt on, worked perfectly and the difference when cleaning is noticeable.
