I love this yarn - the color is a perfect neutral. I have used Red Heart yarn since I started crocheting over 50 years ago.Red Heart has improved the quality and color selection over the years.This a #4 worsted weight acrylic yarn - perfect for afghans. I'm currently using this shade with the solid Aran color to make a bedspread.The only complaint I have is that there seems to be a difference in the texture from one color change to another. The Aran and tan shades are smooth and soft to the touch; however, the darkest, brown shade feels coarser in texture. It doesn't prohibit use of the yarn; it just feels different.

I bought two different colors and alternated them to make an easy fun colorful afghan. Red heart is the best and doesn’t break the bank if doing as gifts.

I ordered this yarn because I had heard that it's frustrating to use lol. Here's my experience: personally I can see where people get hung up. The first square I used the recommended hook size and this just confirmed that my tension is a bit tight so I was constantly having to rework a color section and really concentrate on loosening up. The second square I decided to go up a hook size. This square was easy peasy! I didn't have to concentrate on tension at all and the square flew off my hook! So I started another square thinking it was easy street from here on out. Wrong! The next square with the bigger hook was the same result as using the recommended. I kept having so much left over and then on the last row kept running out of the white a few stitches before the end of the square. So yes, even as someone that has been crocheting for over a decade, I too had struggles.I will say, the yarn itself is nice, the colors are bright with very little bleed over or speckling. It's on the softer side for Red Heart so I would totally use this for wearables. The price though is just a bit steep. I would only recommend this for people that are up for the challenge and have a lot of patience for problem solving.

I turned to amazon to purchase colorways of this yarn that my craft stores don't carry. It takes some practice to get the color rounds to end properly. Instead of redoing each round if there's extra color remaining, I find that slip stitching to the next space to use up remaining color works better than restarting or changing hook size or tension. I use a 5.5 mm hook and haven't had any problems getting my squares colors to line up. This yarn is more for experienced crocheters or someone with a lot of patience to learn how it works. Everyone has a different method to make it work up. I suggest viewing youtube videos for ideas. Each skein makes 15 squares. Good yarn for a travel bag since you only need one. After learning a method that works for you, it's pretty easy to use. The only drawback is color availability and the prices fluctuate wildly here on amazon.

I purchased this yarn because I saw an advertisement about all in one yarn for granny squares. I said to myself, finally. I absolutely do NOT enjoy changing colors every few minutes when I am making a crochet project. However, I rated this yarn a 3 because I do like the colors but I do not like how I have to really concentrate on my stitches due to running out of the colors. I have tried every technique and hook size but I still end up running out of certain colors in my granny square. I am making a backpack for my daughter and she suggests for me to not worry about it that no one will notice. I don't think so, I notice and I can not give this to her with me knowing it is not correct. So I am disappointed with this particular granny square yarn.

This is so fun for people (like me!) who dread the weaving in of ends. There are many different colour combos available, if you choose a few different with black or white, you could even have a scrappy blanket. It takes a little patience to find the right tension, but once you do, these squares whip up so quickly!As others have noted, the black seems to fall a bit short on each one for me, so I would recommend adding a little extra tension in each side of the final round.

Anfangs überaus frustrierend. Tip: probiert verschiedene Nadelgrößen aus, variiert das Muster. Bei mir funktioniert eine 5mm Häkelnadel am besten, zwischen den Clustern keine Luftmasche und in den Ecken nur zwei Luftmaschen. So komme ich relativ genau zum Farbübergang. Zu wenig Faden über, dann trenne ich die letzten zwei, drei Cluster auf u machs nochmal mit fester Fadenspannung, oder mach statt 3 nur 2 Stäbchen in einen Cluster. Zu viel Faden über, dann entweder ein viertes Stäbchen einbauen oder Kettmaschen bis zur nächsten Lücke. Klappt gut! Aus dem ersten Knäuel hab ich 15 Grannys heraus bekommen. Nur blöd: das soft weiß ist leicht rosa, hab 4 Farben gekauft und die "weiß" sind außen überall andersfarbig. Naja! Trotzdem cool, schnell gemacht und macht mir viel Spaß :)

Nothing to dislike, this yarn 🧶 is brilliant. Always works up well, doesn’t fade and the texture is always the same.
