I just got and installed this breaker for my solar setup. Very nice and easy to install. Good clean operation and no glitches.

Bought three of these originally. Complained to the seller that one of the three had the terminals warming up with only 30 or 40 amps going through it. They refunded my money for one unit.Bought a fourth and it worked ok.Now, I went to isolate one of my battery strings, and the breaker felt very tight when I closed it back up. The handle started to break where it is screwed into the shaft going into the works. Operated it several times, with it getting more difficult to close each time. This matches one of the other reviews on here of the internal mechanism being bad.Mine weren't bad right away, but did fail after less than a dozen or so open and close operations, and NO switching was done under any heavy load.I'd have to say either avoid these, or have a few spares around if the ones you have fail.Additional.The seller offered to refund the cost of the replacement breaker even before it arrived, after reading this review, so kudos to them. The new one showed up, and I replaced the one that the actuator arm broke. The NEW one feels and sounds like it is scraping two rusty nails together inside. It appears to operate, but not smoothly, and doesn't have the 'toggle over feel' that the other two smoothly operating breakers have.I have dis-assembled the breaker that the handle broke on. The parts look to be good quality, and the contact buttons are nice heavy copper with a silver flashing on the contact points. Now, on to the issues found..The cam mechanism uses an arm that has a small brass wheel on it, and that wheel operates the movable contact assembly. It is designed so that there is a 'knee point' about 2/3rds of the way through the close operation causing the cam to be 'captured' by going past that knee point. There is a bi-metallic strip incorporated into the fixed contact arm, that when heated, takes the pressure off of the cam device, causing it to flip back and open the breaker. Nice, simple design. The roughness in some of the breakers is caused by the cam wheel being just a bit too small to keep the 'axle' pin it rides on from hitting the sides of a guide slot. (Most likely due to variations in the cam wheel diameter, and the slight burring of the guide slot due to the punching / forming operations used to manufacture the part.) Just for grins, I used some jewelers files to de burr the slot, and the cam operated nice and smoothly after removing the burr on the sides of the slot. Temporarily re-assembled the breaker and used a small light pair of grips to operate the mechanism, which was nice and smooth, and had the 2/3rds point knee over feeling as the cam bar gets 'captured' on closing. One other point that needs to be mentioned. They are using the pivot point of the movable arm as a current carrying member. Breakers generally have a bonded braid of some kind that actually carries the current to the movable contact, so that no current will flow through the pivot. This explains the one terminal point getting hot under load, as that is the one that is connected to the pivot for the movable arm.The Company said they were interested in feedback from the tear down, so I have sent them a detailed write up along with annotated pictures. They seem to be genuinely concerned with the quality of their product, so I'm hoping that the information I am providing will be helpful.

This is a nicely finished 100 amp DC breaker. I'll be using this on my air conditioner circuit in my van build, where it will give me easy access to be able to turn off the unit for maintenance or during the winter months. It would be nice if this came with a cover to place over the exposed terminals, but that's nothing some electrical tape can't fix. This seems to be a great value for the price.

I bought at least six of these breakers and have had three that don’t function correctly. Issues are with the lever and spring action being broken.
