I bought this for my mother in law, but she likes a shorter one better, so I decided to keep it for myself. I never used shoe horns until this one. It is long though that I don’t have to bend down much, but short enough to have good control.The plastic is thick and sturdy.

This is a great shoehorn for traveling. Fits comfortably in luggage; weighs almost nothing; and it's remarkably strong. The finish is nice, as well. It allows socks to slide easily, and it fits well in the hand. Good product, all around.

This is a VERY sturdy shoehorn.The edge that surrounds my shoehorn is smooth, rounded, and not sharp.If you order this item and the edge is sharp, just use a fine metal file and lightly file down any sharp areas; HOWEVER, do not file down the shoehorn if you plan on returning the item for a refund/exchange.I use this item with the Hoka Men's Anacapa Mid GTX Hiking Boots that are pictured with the shoehorn.Placing my right foot into the boot is challenging because I recently had a 2nd right ankle replacement (8th overall right ankle surgery), my foot is swollen, and I do not have much range of motion. The tongue of the hiking boot is connected to the boot; however, it isn't connected to the boot with elastic so the tongue doesn't offer any slack when putting my foot into the boot, and my ankle has limited range of motion, so the shoehorn is a huge benefit.The shoehorn's surface is very smooth and slippery. I don't use much pressure on the shoehorn.I actually sit down when I put on my shoes. The shoehorn does not feel cheaply manufactured.Obviously the shoehorn can only withstand a certain amount of pressure/weight so if you are one who places a huge amount of pressure/weight on the shoehorn, I suggest you make your own shoehorn out of hollowed steel. Hollow metal doesn't bend as easily as solid core metal.I have used metal shoehorns and they easily bend, even when using very light pressure.I always say "you get what you pay for" and I'm hoping that my shoehorn will last a very long time.If I use my shoehorn for it's intended purpose, I expect my shoehorn to last for a very long time.I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I looked at a number of these for a high topped dress shoe that needed a shoehorn as I have not really needed one otherwise for years. I liked the long handle design and the sturdiness of this model, and will likely continue to use it, but I personally found that the plastic tends to make the sliding out of the shoehorn after use somewhat difficult. In this case, a thin metal would likely work better for some depending on the type of shoe it is being used with.So, nothing wrong with it per say, but definitely a challenge from some shoe situations. Probably a 3.5 star if I had that option to rate due to the plastic material grippiness.

These shoe horns are great. They keep me from having to rub the skin off my finger trying to get it out of the back of my shoes when I put them on. They are so convenient and easy to use.

You have to bend to be able to use this. Although I am keeping this, I will still buy another one that is longer than this at least double in length than this one.

perfect balance between space saving and length i can reach without bending too far and it is small enough to fit in a shower bag and to all those "too narrow" complainers i say not every one that needs a shoehorn is a size "Wide" and a shoehorn that is too wide (for someone) is very painful. this here is perfect.

Adorei, acabou meu problema pra colocar sapato, pois estou com problema de mobilidade. Ele é de um comprimento ótimo, então não tenho que me entortar tanto. O plástico é macio mas é bem resistente, à s vezes coloco sapatos mais apertados e ele não parece nem um pouco que vai quebrar. RecomendadÃssimo. A cor é um azul horroroso, mas a gente deixa escondido rs.
