This actually has a very rough sandpaper feel on the black parts, and the green glow-in-the-dark part is absolutely smooth.It's pretty easy to put on and looks good. However I don't know how long it's going to adhere since I needed to reposition it and it seemed too easy. Hopefully with time it bonds better.

We love the glow-in-the-dark feature since our porch light isn't on most of the time. Our carpenter installed it with our new steps. Wish it was a bit wider, but we ended up putting two strips on each stepand it's perfect!

I used this on raw wood and concrete. It didn't last very long on concrete before it lost its adhesion. Roughly six weeks before it just gave out with moisture and little to no foot traffic.On raw wood, it held up pretty well for roughly four months in winter and with light foot traffic. Three of about fifteen strips gave out and just peeled off. I don't think the rest of them will hold up either.

We highly recommend this product. We bought it to give traction and visibility to some steep outdoor concrete basement steps. The steps are east-facing and are in the shade most of the day, but there is always sufficient glow to help you see all steps from the top. If the glow strips get direct light they glow quite brightly in the dark. They also give good traction, which we definitely need in snowy/rainy weather. It has been almost a year, and only two of the strips came off (probably due to us not cleaning well enough beneath before adhesion). We easily reattached them with some glue. I would absolutely buy again. Go ahead and buy two rolls; you will find other uses for it all over the house.

Not at all anti slip as it had a smooth surface. Don't recommend for anti skid. it may be good for signagewhich i haven't tried though
