I took a chance on these but purchased a set of plastic ones From a different company after a failed debacle with the "other" kind of water cups. These surpassed my hopes. They are great quality, easy to install and not one has leaked yet. I've had them over a month now and no issues. My girls love them!

I bought the small animal rent a coop water bottle unfortunately it never worked for my guinea pigs and would leak badly every time they used it. To the point we were refilling it twice a day and their bedding was always soaked. Read that this cup for chickens was interchangeable with the small animal cup. Because this has cage Clips on the back it doesn't tip or tilt it stays put in place when they drink from it. And also because it only fills up half the way it doesn't spill out the top every time they take a drink. The only issue I have is when they do kick up bedding and poo into the cup it's not easy to clean out because I have to detach it and unscrew the nipple from the bottle in order to get it off the cage to clean. But that's more about how it sets up on my cage bars. It still works great and because it's big enough both guinea pigs can drink at the same time and they seem to enjoy that. They also both really enjoy drinking water from a trough instead of from a nipple like the traditional small animal water bottles. My kids have a much easier time refilling this cup because it doesn't need to be detached from the cage to be refilled

I have 10 chicks that are 8 wks old and growing substantially every week. I bought 2 of these cups a couple weeks ago and installed them in a 5 gal bucket. They have worked so well that I had to buy 2 more for easier chick access to the water. They are very easy to install and there have been no leaks. Recommended.

I built 2 gravity fed water systems and after much research purchased these cups. Relatively easy to install, although I used pvc pipe, which made the drilling more challenging. I had plastic spirals that I had to remove with a file. With the pvc pipe being thicker than a bucket typically is, the plastic wing nuts didn't catch quite right; I put them on one system but not the other. I screwed the cups in tight enough to warp the rubber washers just slightly but upon filling the pipe, there were no leaks and water flowed into the cups as to be expected. They also appear to be quite sturdy, as I knocked one off with lawnmower and it did not get damaged and reattached quite easily. There was a bit of a learning curve for the 8 week old pullets; took me moving a water bowl closer and closer to the watering system for 5 days before they figured it out.My grown hen won't use it period. All in all a great product. The screws could be a bit longer to accommodate thicker plastic and the wing nuts could be better made. Would be nice to see it all in stainless steel as well.A solid 4 stars!

I used these to make waterers for guinea pigs and my dogs. They have worked well so far!

Perfect tubing for rabbit watering system. Black tubing is preferred over clear or light colored due to blocking the light/UV which inhibits algae growth. The automated system has saved me SO much time and kept my rabbits hydrated much better than bottles that are always dripping and don't hold enough water. Rabbits will also drink more water from a 'bowl' system than from the nipples or balls in water bottles. Paring this tubing with a few other pieces ordered from Amazon has made an amazing system for keeping my rabbits in water. The water bottles were a terrible option. I think I'd even use this system for one or two cages, even inside/pet rabbits. When choosing the cups to use in the cages *GET THE METAL ONES*. Rabbits chew too much! ;-) I used these items to complete the system: "Rabbit Watering System Bucket Connector Kit to ID 5/16" Hose Include Bulkhead Fitting, Barb Ball Valve and Mesh Washer", "RentACoop® DIY Small Animal Watering Metal Cups KIT for Small Animals/Pet/Bunny/Ferret/Chicken/Hamster/Guinea Pig/Rabbit/Chinchilla/Mouse/Rat (6 Pack)", and Nigo Industrial Co. 3-Way Tee Brass Hose Fitting, 5/16" x 5/16" x 5/16" ID Hose Barb Pipe Fitting (Pack of 5)" (get the brass hose fittings instead of the plastic, more expensive up front, but it'll be the last time you have to buy them-don't get plastic).

I was skeptical about whether these would leak or not but they work excellent. I used them for rabbits, chickens and quail. I had a hard time with the plastic ones where they puch on the paddle because 1) the rabbits chew on the plastice 2) it's hard to tell if they are drinking out of them. With these you can see they have water in them and there is not learning curve for the animal to use them. I recommend highly.
