UP button just controls the brightness of halogen and incandescent lamps, also compatible with some dimmable LED/CFL lights. Most LED/CFL lights are Not Dimmable, and the DOWN button only control the On/Off in this case.
Set different PIN codes when controlling multiple ceiling fans
- Note: If you have multiple fan lights in your house, please check if their PIN codes are different. Otherwise, this will cause the remote control next door to turn on your ceiling fan. This is likely to cause your ceiling fan to function inexplicably when you are not at home.
- Please make sure your original remote control look same as the one on the picture.
How To Use
- Normally, after you unpack the package and install the battery in the new remote, it will work. If not, please see below.
- Just configure 4 DIP switches in the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself). View the inside of the old remote after removing the battery. There is a series of "DIP" switches (4). with a pen, slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote. After installing the battery in the new remote, it will work.

Remote restores full operational requirements to ALL of the buttons. In my case, the light wouldn’t dim. New remote solved that but it also made ALL of the other functions work better with simply no pressure touch of the buttons. You won’t realize how bad your old remote was until you replace it. Just pull the plastic shipping strip off the new remote and it is ready for use. No programing required.

Our old fan remote had several buttons that worked sporadically. I was surprised to see I could get this exact replacement. Just had to set the DIP switches as explained in the instructions and it worked immediately. No more mashing down buttons to get the fan on and off!

I didn't think I had much chance of finding this remote for a 25 year old Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan. My original old remote buttons were about to go. I had to press really, really hard to get the button to work.This is an exact replacement for the old one. This works perfect.Thank you for still making these.. Now I am going to another one for my bedroom which uses the same type of Remote.
