I did do research to get the correct part number for the year make and model.My local lock shop enrolled the device for more than half of the dealer price.I bought a fob from KIA just in case this one did not work. It was twice the price.I now have two spare key fobs.

This is a perfect OEM replacement for my cracked key fob. It is a virtual lone of the original.As this is a proximity sensor key, it usually requires programming by a locksmith. In my case, I was able to take the working pcb board from my cracked fob and use it in the new fob. Easy.Recommended.
