I am replacing a Toshiba Firetv remote that stopped working. I put batteries in the replacement remote and it worked immediately like magic. I did not have to pair it. No stress no fuss. However, directions for pairing are provided. Can’t vouch for its longevity since I just got it.

I had my apprehensions but it started working right out of the box. My Toshiba TV original remote stopped working and I wasn’t sure if it’d be compatible, but it did - quick & easy. Paired in seconds, and what you get for the price is more than worth it. Great product!

I did a factory reset of my fire TV because it was running slow. As soon as I did that, my remote refused to pair with the TV. I tried changing the batteries, looking up buttons to reset the remote, pressing multiple buttons on the remote at the same time, and nothing. I called Amazon for troubleshooting and was told to replace my remote with this one. Reading on reddit, I saw many people stating that they had the same issue and were told to replace the remote, which didn't resolve anything. At this point, I was on the verge of just giving up. I put a new TV in my cart and waited for the remote to arrive. To my pleasant surprise, the remote finally paired to the TV! I was able to remove the new TV from my Amazon cart and reset my TV. As a plus, this remote has the speech to text feature and Alexa, which my prior remote did not have. It also has the settings button. I'm glad that for less than $15, I was able to solve my problem and keep my current TV, rather than spending $100 or more on a new one. Christmas just passed and I need to save up and cut back on spending again. THANK YOU!

For a tv that won't function without a remote, this was a lifesaver! So happy I was able to purchase another remote and I didn't even have to pair it. Only downside is the battery compartment. It is not easy to get a grip on the cover in order to get it open. Other than that, it matched my tv and works like it should. Old remote on right, new one on left.

Everything about this remote works just like the original. Each button does it's job to make selections easy and fast. And I can talk to Alexa like I used to. High quality, great value.
