I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I decided to change this thing myself. My snowblower wouldn't stay running and after a lot of other remedies failed I was left with a clogged carburetor. There's a little tube that runs down that's supposed to be able to be removed for cleaning, but mine was stripped so that wasn't an option. However, I thought one of these would be expensive so I spent several days trying different things before I even looked. What a mistake! Bought this, took about 20 minutes to put it on and the thing fired right up. Had our first real snow of the season and it ran like a charm. I shouldn't just done this first and now I know. Of course, I shouldn't have left a small amount of gas in it in storage, but that's another lesson. On to the specifics: Part came quickly, was priced cheaply, and had everything I needed to easily swap it out. No instructions (I'm guessing because it fits so many different engines it'd be impossible to do useful instructions), but they weren't necessary. I'm not mechanical by nature so when I say it had everything and was easy, know I speak the truth.

This was an exact replacement for my Cub Cadet 524 Snow blower. It fired right up and ran perfect, no adjustments needed. It's not even worth taking the old one apart to clean it when you can buy a brand new one for under $20! Would definitely buy again.

Replaced old carburetor with this unit which looks identical. Snowblower started right up on the first try. The only downside is that the gaskets were thin and didn't match ports exactly. Overall great product for the price!

I ordered this kit 1 because my carb was gummed up and 2 the price didn't make it worth it to rebuild. Kit was nice, everything was in it's place and of good quality. Here's the rub, I have a Troybilt Storm 2410 which was listed as a compatible replacement for this carb. Now I am not sure if there is a EPA C.A.R.B. model that wasn't listed but there were 2 differences in the OEM carb and the one shipped. First was the angle of the fuel feed elbow was at a 90° instead of 45° and the choke linkage on the OEM carb was plastic where the replacement was metal and not interchangeable. Other then those two inconsistencies the carb was exactly the same. Unfortunately I couldn't use it, I contacted the seller and was immediately issued a paid shipping label with a pending refund which was issued 2 hours after the box was dropped at the UPS store. I ended carefully removing my carb to save the gaskets and cleaning it. Runs great and I only will use TruFuel in my small engines, pump gas sucks!

Replaced this carb on craftsman snow blower model 247881731. Instillation is easy several videos on YouTube on how to replace it if you need assistance. Gaskets shape a little different from originals , used 2 new and one old gasket . Fits perfect and snow blower started immediately on first try .

Today's gasoline with ethanol in it is extremely caustic to carburators. I got a good deal on this snowblower because it did not run. It had been sitting in someone's garage for years. The compression felt fine and the oil level was adequate so I took a chance. When I got it home, I immediately removed the carburator. The bowl was corroded and the jets were clogged. I cleaned the carb the best I could but it still looked bad. I reassembled the engine and started it up but it would not hold a consistent rpm at high speed. Before taking it apart again I found this carb on Amazon and ordered it.On delivery date I decided to take the old carb off again so when the new one arrived, I could just install it and try it out. The first thing I wanted to do was to drain the fuel I had added when I testing the the carb cleaning. I disconnected the fuel line from the carb and a little fuel trickled from the line into my container. I expected it to drain faster so I pulled the line from the tank. After doing this gas started pouring over the machine. I quickly put the line back on and the flow went back to a trickle.I inspected the fuel line and noticed when holding in straight, I could not see light through it. I stuck a long screwdriver through it and out came a greasy black gasket like material that was clearly clogging the line. I replaced the line with a new one.By the time I had the fuel line issues resolved the Amazon truck had arrived with the new carburator. I decided to just put it on because I had it in my hands and it looked like a pretty close replica of the OEM that was so badly corroded by old fuel.I installed the new carburator, getting pretty good at it by then, added fuel and fired the snowblower up in one pull. It idled perfectly and has plenty of top end power. It has been unseasonably warm in the Northeast and there is no snow in the forecast but I look forward to using this blower as soon as I get the chance.

This replaced the carburetor on my Craftsman 247.881731 snow blower that was gummed up from using ethanol gas and letting it sit a full winter without use. Thought I'd burned all the old gas through when I put it away but apparently ethanol had other plans. Tried to clean the old carb but it leaked gas after my poor attempt at being a mechanic. So this was a great alternative. Gaskets weren't exact so I used one of the 3 off the original carb. No apparent issues with the 2 new ones. Fired up first pull and no leaks. Runs great. Maybe not as well machined as the OEM part, but for under 20 bucks for a fix compared to quite a bit more for an actual OEM or taking it to someone to work on is great. Highly recommend.

Works like it should. Actually is a direct replacement-im shocked. Fair price, shipped fairly quickly. It took a while to find it in the listing though. A pain there. Were not all pros.

Product seems OK, gaskets were not best, had to re-use some previous ones as well.
