Used them for disaster volunteers up in North Carolina. Great radios, very sturdy, water resistant, good volume, easy to use. 2 watts of power provides plently of range for UHF frequencies.

We bought 10 of these walkies to use at our new Warehouse/Pipe Yard that is +/- 8 Acres and they work wonderfully. We have guys on forklifts, who work in the rain, and these have held up thus far for 3 months, or so. Reception is clear throughout the 8 or so acres.At our last company, we used another Retevis Walkie (RT22S) and they were superb as well. We wanted to try something newer that used USB C as its charger, as well as something that was easier to locate when lost, and that was more durable. These check all of the boxes.Life long Retevis user from here on out!

I like having the PTT button on both the side and front, allowing the user to decide how to use it. Belt clip is screwed on, not a flimsy plastic connection prone to breaking. High power internal battery allowed constant use for 3 hours, and the battery charge icon still says it’s fully charged. The battery charging base is easy to charge and store the unused radios. USB-C is easy to connect if charging w/o the base, unlike other brands that use mini-usb (which require proper orientation, which makes them harder to connect). Sound is clear and the volume is controlled by an easy to find rotary knob (allowing volume changes while listening), not up/down buttons, which require you to look at the radio face to change. Accessories are limited, i.e., no wired PTT mic/speaker if you wanted the radio in a pocket or over the shoulder holder.

I got these for use in my warehouse. I've got guys all over that need to communicate once in a while, and they were always using their cell phones to text each other. This just seemed a whole lot easier, and it is. So far, the feedback has been very positive. No problem communicating in the warehouse, and even communicating with personnel across the street in our other shop. Major distance has not been part of the scenario, so I can't say that they have incredible range, or anything like that. They might have really excellent long distance range, but we have not challenged them that way. Most impressive has been the clarity of the communications. Voices are extremely clear and easy to hear. The controls are nice and clear and easy to operate. The LCD screen is clear and easy to read. The single knob for turning the units on and off and controlling the volume is as easy as it gets. The six port charging dock works very well. My only issue with the entire thing is the price. $279 works out to $46.50 per unit, which is pretty expensive. I've never had walkie talkies from this manufacturer before, so maybe they are considered to be a much higher quality unit to begin with. They are working well, as I said and the quality seems to be high. I have quite a few others that are massively less expensive, and I haven't tried them under these same circumstances, so I really can't compare the two. If the price doesn't scare you, I would definitely recommend them. Performance alone, I would give them 5 stars, but because of the price, I'm going to settle in with an official rating of 4 stars.
