It was important to remount the mounting plate to the power adjust mirror prior to slipping the mirror into place on the mount. More pressure is required to install the mounting plate than to attach the mirror. I think it would likely break the mirror if the plate was first attached to the mirror and then mounted to the housing.

I tried ordering the replacement glass and it kept being delivered broken. This part was packaged better and only cost a few dollars more. Easy to install.

I had to return the one I ordered cause it wasn’t the right one for my truck. My mistake not theirs. It was shipped super fast though

After failed attempts, I finally chose the mirror with the correct back pattern (square; other style "cross") necessary for installation.I also, selected a mirror feature I don't have hoping for the "square" backing.In a nut shell, pictures lie.Very pleased. Another stupid project complete.
