I've purchased a number of Rhino products over the last few years and without exception they have been very well made with quality materials used in their construction. That being said, I was hesitant about purchasing their ratcheting straps because of the cost over what I could pick other straps up for.I decided to make the purchase after some research and frustration with a brand new set of similar ratcheting straps from Harbor Freight. My Rhino straps arrived yesterday and I can tell you that in a side by side comparison the Rhino straps are far superior in every way.Although the straps appear close to the same in photos; it is a different story in hand. You can immediately feel the difference in the quality of the Rhino straps; the strap itself is thicker, which correlates to the higher work load and breaking strength. The differences in the straps continues down to the quality of the stitching.However, the real difference between the two sets is in the construction and use of the ratchet. All four ratchets on the Harbor Freight set bound up and failed to release the strap, brand new, out of the package. I had to use lubricant and rotate them with a screwdriver to get the mechanism to loosen up and start to work.In contrast, the ratcheting mechanism on the Rhino straps worked as it should and did so with ease. The quality and operation of the ratchet really demonstrated the difference in manufacturing. The handle and pull lever on the Rhino ratchet was also very well made and easy to use.Well, from quality we come to value; to be fair, the Harbor Freight set was $19.99, less with their 20% off coupon. The Rhino set (4-Pack) is $59.97; making them more expensive by a wide margin. You can also find really nice offerings at a lower cost from other manufacturers here on Amazon; such as Power Tye and Lockdown.The Rhino straps are the most expensive that I have come across; are they worth it? Yes, and no. In my opinion, they are the best you can buy. The four soft loops and storage bag included with the set increases the value; however, the price point is still a bit high. If you throw in the super easy to activate lifetime warranty then you increase the value again. What does it cover though and what kind of hoops do you have to jump through for a replacement?All in all I would say these are a solid value at $49.99 without tax and including Prime shipping. As it worked out, buying a set cost me just under $65.00 with tax and Prime shipping.That being said, the quality is evident in these straps. For example, I bought my bike at a dealership and they threw in a new set of tie downs. After the salesperson helped load the bike I broke out my cam lock Rhino straps with integrated soft loops; after using them his comment was, "These are the nicest straps I've ever seen."If you're just hauling stuff and need to secure it pick up some straps here on Amazon or hit Harbor Freight; if you do that, bring a can of WD40. If you have an expensive bike or other item(s) to secure then it makes sense to invest in the best straps you can buy so click that Buy It Now button.

These are quality straps...hauled my Ultraclassic in an enclosed trailor from Central TX to Central Arkansas. Hit some rough road under construction that had me concerned but these straps didn't fail. Snap hooks on the end of the strap really gives you comfort your hooks won't come lose. I made it a point to stop and check every 100 miles or so and never had to adjust anything. Highly recommend

My wife and I bought eBikes within the last year and decided to travel for a biking getaway. We bought a bike carrier that could handle the weight of our bikes. It had good reviews from multiple sites so we felt confident...until it came and I built it. The rack was very sturdy but the plastic straps that hold the bikes to the rack had me concerned. The rack arrived days before our trip so it was too late to return so I threw my bag of Rhino straps in the SUV and off we went. My fears were realized as one of the plastic straps failed on our way up. I used some of the Rhino velcro to secure the wheel. By the time we arrived at our destination two more straps failed. After we biked the trails I mounted the bikes on the rack and used 3 Rhino ratcheting straps to secure the bikes. Perfect combination and it saved our bikes from a catastrophic accident and/or stranding us far from home! The straps confidently secured the bikes to the carrier and I couldnt be happier with them. 10 Stars!!!

Although I purchase a lot of items through Amazon I almost never write a review. Typically I get what I expect. The few times I have not I eventually realized I did not do enough research on the product. This time is different.The ratchet strap kit showed up in a very nice, good looking and sturdy box. The contents were all still arranged nicely inside with the paperwork laying on top, bright, bold, easily readable and not bent/crumpled/torn or any of the other stuff I usually find.In addition to the straps, heavier than I expected, and the smoooooth ratchets, there were also good quality hook&loop straps that fit the straps just right. Really appreciate that since straps and cords and such always end up a tangled mess. Then, to top it off, there was a decent little draw-string-top bag provided in which to store everything. Is it a high quality canvass sack? No, but it is of good enough quality that I expect it to last several years even with frequent use.Some folks may nitpick that these are not actually made in America. I would say they are out of touch. This is a family-owned, US company that does its own design and engineering right here in the US. Sure, they have their products manufactured elsewhere to save money, but they are also obviously staying on top of their quality control and that is the important part to me. The other part of overseas manufacturing is the savings. I very much doubt you could find a comparable product at a similar price that is manufactured in the USA.I received a product that was above my expectations (when was the last time that happened to you?), at a competitive price, and made (if not manufactured) by a family-owned US company. For that unfortunately rare occurrence, I will take the time to sit down and write a review.

I’ve purchased a number of tiedown straps in my day, but these are awesome! Purchased to tie down my FJR on motorcycle trailer. First, they have a variety of colors. (I know, not that big of a deal, but it matches the color of my bike. Lol) They come in a sturdy box, straps are heavy duty. Love how they are made, with the clasp on the hook ends. Comes with a storage bag, and they have these nifty Velcro straps, so that you can Velcro strap the excess strap material, so you don’t have to tie it in knots or have it flopping in the wind. Highly recommend!
