The tone bars are now plastic boxes instead of wooden blocks...tone is still very good, and they feel good in your hand. Lots of mallets included!! The box is much improved - better padding inside, smaller in dimensions and good clasps.

It’s a great set for my music students to use to arrange tones to play in different key signatures. My only complaint is that the case was cracked and damaged from shipping and wasn’t padded with adequate insulation.
