Update 8/10/24:I reached out to the seller, and they graciously sent me a replacement plate. The original had only spent about 6 summer months outside, but had faded badly as noted previously. My concern was that this was promoted as being durable and fade-resistant. The new one looks great, of course. But I'm not sure how confident I am that it will hold up to weather. IF you plan to put this on a vehicle, I would strongly recommend protecting it with PPF or a clear frame of some sort. Or maybe ceramic coating if you have it available. BUT, I have revised my rating up to 4 stars on the idea that this might be more of a novelty decoration item than something one might put on their car. OR, it might be great on 'classic' cars that only leave the garage on pretty days (thinking 'Dads 67' or something). Just keep this in mind if you are shopping this item. We'll see how it holds up in Tuscaloosa... Roll Tide!Original Review:This was a really cool plate and my son got a lot of compliments on it at first. But just under a year later and it has faded to a shade of pink. The description says it is an 'exceptionally durable, fade resistant metal automobile tag'. But perhaps we should have sprayed it with some clear coat or something. Kinda disappointing for the price that it has not retained its color longer. :(
