Been doing a lot of balance point wheelie practice recently and thought I might need some armor. Literally first time wearing it rear brake failed causing me to loop at about 35 mph. Fell straight on my back and slide for a bit. Back feels great and no injuries whatsoever aside from just below my tailbone which unfortunately wasn’t covered by the armor due to me being 6’6. Could’ve been a lot worse without this small investment!

I got this as a safety precaution and the truth is that it's really not that comfortable and I don't even like wearing it too much but I do like the added safety of knowing that if I took a hard fall then the first impact wouldn't be directly to my bones. People should understand when it comes to gear it's not necessarily going to guarantee your safety but instead of your body hitting the ground first the hard plastic or leather can bang or scrape the ground first and take away some of the impact that your body will feel.

I feel safe with this on. Comfortable and light and very adjustable.

So I'm using this for a cosplay deal. So I went to debadging the back protector. Well anywhere you remove a patch with their logo, you come across either the alpine stars logo up top, and a sad attempt at melting the original branding of alpine stars at rhe bottom. Not to mention the shoddy sewing job all around. If I was using this for protection on a bike going 60+mph. I wouldnt trust it by any means. For use with cosplay or something. Sure. But I find it funny to see china slapping a patch over someone else's work and calling it theirs lol. Alpinestars is for snowboarding, yall out here trying to kill people using snowboard protection for motorcycles.

Too small for my size; strap rubbing against my throughly; quality below average; some seams already pulled out of the box

I wear it every time I go snowboarding or skiing, it gives me a sense of safety. And one time when I was skiing, rolled and fall on my back, I can feel the pressure spread out and I had 0 injuries. Not sure how much it actually helped but it definitely helped me advancing on my skills.

I bought a Joe Rocket bike jacket with safety padding for $200 and it has less back protection. I can bend and stretch without interference. Adjustable straps help with the fit.

... I can't tell you whether it'll preserve my back skin or not. What i can say is that its pretty comfy, it'll warm your back up, but I am wondering if it was built for a bit shorter people? You wear it like a backpack, and the chest strap that connects your shoulder straps together is not adjustable, and its too high - it goes straight over my neck.I have to keep it loose otherwise its choking me :D :D :DAlso, as stated, while comfort matters and this thing is plenty comfortable - its real value would show itself in how much grinding against the asphalt can it sustain, and I can't vouch anything about that.
