I bought these to replace an old pair of leather mittens I'd been wearing to shovel snow. These are lighter in weight and much more flexible, which makes them easier to wear. They work fine without liners if the temperature is in the high 20s or above. First time I wore them the temperature was in the teens with a gusty wind. That day I needed to use liner gloves to keep my hands warm.

Appears to be good quality and well insulated, but be aware that they are quite small for the nominal size. I ordered XXL, and it was too small for my hands that normally wear Large.
