Like the title says, this thing was excellent to keep the stray outdoor kitty that hangs around my house, warm all winter long. Even when snow was on the ground, she was in her little kitty house on my front porch snuggled up on top of this pad. It actually gets so warm that she seemed to be too hot, so I had to turn it down some PLUS put a fleece blanket on top of it. Even with a blanket on top of it, the heat still penetrates to keep everything nice and warm and snuggly for kitty. This is an excellent purchase for your outdoor small dog or cat and fits nicely in a small kitty or doggy house. I recommend also insulating the inside of the house to hold in the heat produced from this. I could also see this being handy to use for an indoor cat or small dog, or honestly even has a heating pad for us humans!

This worked great for saving a scared stray dog in a snow storm from freeing to death. I put it in a cardboard box inside a larger box and shoved some insulation in between the two. She LOVED it and made it through some freeing temperatures! Love that you can set it for 24 hours!

Fantastic product and I highly recommend it. My cat is getting older and definitely appreciates the heating pad. I love I can set it at a target temperature and time and leave it be.Only downside is I bought the smaller one and wish I bought the slighter larger one, so might want to consider sizing up.

It gets nice and warm but turns off. I wanted it to stay on all weekend for stray cat during snow and it turned off leaving it cold.

Purchased in October 2024 on a lark, in anticipation of the cold Seattle winter days coming for our 15+ year old GSD/Lab mix, diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy and arthritis. He was a fussy guy so I wasn't sure if he'd rest on it, the hopes being it would keep his back legs a little limber as he tended to sleep on his "bad side" and could be a bit wobbly when getting up. To our surprise, he took to it right away, and used it every day right up until his passing on February 14th, 2025.Only note, and not worth reducing a star, I do wish it had a lower temperature setting than 80°, as we ended up having a fairly warm and dry winter and it would occasionally be a little too warm for him between the pad and the heat in the house running. However, as the temperature did drop at the end of January, and in his final weeks as his body began to slow down, it kept him nice and cozy and was a great comfort to provide.

If you leave it on for a long time, make sure it lays flat or it gets really hot in the doubled area. But it works great.

I will say it seems to be giving off good heat, I have not checked it in a while it is inside a cat shelter. But it is doing what I was hoping for, that is to actually help heat the inside of the shelter as an addition to the H & K heating pad that came with the shelter, Which really only heats up when the cat is lying on it. The disappointing part is the protective electrical cord is only from the pad to the control, from the control to the wall outlet is just Standard lamp cord. This is not such a big deal if you own a cat but for a dog owner I think this would not be a very good unit not only is partial electrical cord protected but the control unit is only about a foot and a half away from The pad with protection so if your dog likes to chew he does not even have to reach far to get to the plastic control unit. And my biggest problem with this unit is the fact that for some bizarre reason the control unit is mounted upside down on the electrical cord. In other words if you are standing in the room in front of The heating pad the control unit display and control buttons are upside down. The control unit is set up so display and control buttons are properly facing you if you were standing with your back to the wall behind the heating pad. That fact and that the control unit has four buttons on compared to the three control buttons like my other 2 different brands makes it very confusing setting temperature and timers especially in the dark, I have mine out on the porch and normally I just go out no right where the buttons are push them over done get my ass back into the warm house. With this unit I always have to grab a flashlight to see what is going on because of the upside down mounting and extra buttons on the control unit. Definitely would not purchase again.

My pet didn't end up wanting to lay on it, but I will tell you, it is better than the human one I bought for myself. I love the fact you can set the heat at exactly what you want 101,,120, you choose the number, unlike the human one of low med high.

I have provided my spoiled pets with heating pads for years even before they had pet ones. They are on much of the day and evening and so eventually they quick working. I bought this one because one of the pads did quit working. I decided on a nice large one since my pets have issues with sharing some times and a large pad would make things easier. They love the pad but still fight over space even when there is lots of it. Silly animals!!

My dogs love this heat pad. It takes quite a while to warm up but it is easy to use and I like the temperature and timer options.

I bought this for my senior dog who would not lie on it. After he passed, I just put it away till a little feral cat started sitting on the chair in our closed in porch. I put it on the chair and plugged it in. It warmed up but when I came out in the morning it was cold, so I brought it in the house and plugged it in. The controls light up but it doesn’t get warm. If it hadn’t stopped working after so few uses, I would have given it 5stars, nice size nice cover and controls and washable. But there is no way it should have stopped working after so few uses. Because I put it away after my dog died, it is way past the time that I could return for a new one. Thank you
