Riolis designs are absolutely great -- they're the only brand whose kits I've bought, in fact, because so many cross stitch designs are just so terrible that I've mainly made my own. I think Riolis has actual artists doing its designs, though, and I'm not an actual artist, so I appreciate their distinctive, graceful patterns. I'm a ways into this one and enjoying it very much. The black aida is a really cool choice.I don't know what the previous reviewer's issue was with the materials. They're fine. The cloth is lightweight, but who cares with cross stitch? It's going to be framed. The yarn is nice, more loosely spun than DMC-type cotton, so it's soft, and the ends on the back may fray more than you're used to, but again, that doesn't matter. The only thing I can think of is that she might have tried to split it as though it were 6-strand floss, which you don't need to do -- what's in the kit is already the correct thickness.Anyway, I recommend this kit, and the whole brand. Got my eye on their pink orchid design next.

Although I have been cross stitching for more than 30 years, I was unable to use the black cloth or the thread (yarn?) that came with it. I used black Adia cloth and matched their threads with DMC thread. I have just completed the project and it is beautiful.

I really liked this kit. The only they recommended to use two threads. I started with two but then decided to use just one and result looks much better.

Tres joli kit. J’avais peur que la toile soit de mauvaise qualité mais finalement inquiétude injustifiée. Très bons fils en laine. Tout ce a quoi je m’attendais.

Commandé pour faire un cadeau, j'ai dû réinvestir dans de la toile aida car celle présente est impossible à broder, en ressemble plus à du lin.Fils de mauvaise qualité qui font des points pas très jolie à mon goût.Le rendue du dessin est magnifique même sur de la toile crème
