Over a year ago, I purchased this black one, length 2, xs, when my father died, as a regular skirt. I have worn it almost continuously, receiving compliments on it always. It drapes beautifully. It wears 'like iron'. It wraps instantly, and closes instantly, thanks to the velcro closings. In the winter I wear footless tights with it, and in the summer, bare legged. With tights and without, the drape is gorgeous. It seems to be stain proof, too, as, it still looks great, after wearing it continuously for almost a year.Subsequently, because I have developed a frozen shoulder, and so am running on one working shoulder, I have found this skirt is the only garment I have that I can get into and out of with ease, and so, when I saw more versions introduced, I have purchased them as they came on the market. I purchased the Blue Curacao, xs length 2, then the Islander Indigo, also xs, length 2, and finally the Islander Grey, all in xs length 2. I have been delighted with all of them, and have received unsolicited compliments from family & friends. The Blue Curacao is the most lovely shade of aqua for the summer, and for that particular one, I always receive RAVE OH MY how Gorgeous! compliments, it really is a lovely shade. I try not to wear it too much, as, it really is a rather special color. The Islander Indigo is also gorgeous, a lovely, sophisticated design/color combination. The inside is white, as, it is a printed design. Ditto the Islander Grey, but it is less of a contrast, so, not really noticeable.The merchant, RipSkirt Hawaii owner is lovely to do business with. I had an issue with sizing with the Islander Grey, and I contacted her directly. She understood right away, she offered sensible solutions right away, she took care of everything instantly and sweetly, going way beyond what I sought. Not only did she have a great attitude, but she was smart, perceptive, kind, and most importantly, helpful Truly a pleasurable interaction. I was impressed. I do not see any competition for this design skirt, with this drape and fabric. I have spent months and months looking (I am looking for skirts with pockets for my wallet and cell phone...) and have found nothing, even disregarding the pocket issue. And so I am hoping RipSkirt Hawaii will continue to add new, sophisticated yet also 'beachy' fabrics; one of these days maybe even a larger pocket, for my cell phone and wallet. In the mean time, the longer length RipSkirt has been a godsend to me, with my frozen shoulder. It is nice to receive unsolicited compliments on how one looks, and what one is wearing! This cute and comfy skirt is great as a beach cover up and I love the fact that the fabric is quick dry. I bought Length 2, which is perfect if you want above the knee but you don't want to show as much skin as Length 1. I have several older ripskirts that have tiny key pockets, but I love the full size pockets on this skirt. One of my other favorite things about ripskirts is that is they fold up so well for travel - doesn't take much room & doesn't wrinkle. I love the colors and pattern on this skirt as well!

This is my 4th RipSkirt. I wear them to the pool and the beach and they are my favorites to pack for cruises because they take up very little space but are very versatile. I have 2 in length 1 and this is my second length 2. I wanted one in this length in black, and I am so glad I decided to go for it. They have fixed the only 2 "complaints" I had about these skirts: the card holder and the label. Previous versions that I own had the RipSkirt label on the front of the skirt, which didn't bother me for patterned skirts around the pool or beach, but I wanted my black skirt to look less sporty so I could throw it on for evening at nicer restaurants or just to look a little dressier. They no longer put that label on the outside, so now it serves that purpose perfectly! The second issue I had with my other skirts was that the card holder was just a tad bit too snug and required a little extra work to get the card to fit. My new version clearly has a slightly larger card holder and it is super easy to fit a credit card, cash, and/or ID now, but they are still perfectly secure. The cut is very flattering, the material is nice, and they are so handy to throw on over a swimsuit. I get compliments all the time when I wear them. They also have plenty of coverage so there are no issues if the weather gets a bit windy. I find them to be true to size, and there is some flexibility in the fit because of the length of the velcro closures. They do tend to fit best at my natural waist, so if you want to wear it lower on you hips you might need to size up. I wear a 16/XL comfortably in most clothes and the XL fits perfectly with some room to adjust to either side if I lose or gain a few pounds. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend these skirts.

The skirt is really nice but the pleated part of the skirt had 6 large very sharp sewing pins in it. There was no warning on the packing or bag it was in that they were there. Very dangerous. I instantly stabbed myself on them when removing the skirt. Very odd, I’ve never received clothing with sewing pins in it! The skirt itself is nice and true to size. They need to either not ship with pins or put big warnings on the bag!

Nothing better than rip skirt. I ordered the blue floral one and received a black floral one. Too bad, but I needed for an upcoming trip so had to keep it and the black color was nice, too. These hold up for years! Easy to slip on for the beach, coffee, etc. I'm a size 10 and the medium fits me perfectly. The waist band is adjustable so sizing doesn't have to be exact.

The skirt pattern is great. The length is perfect, Not too short or long. No matter how I put it on I get creases across the tummy area. I am 5'4" and 120# so I usually don't have that problem I may send it bck

Love it! It fits well and is just the right length, falling just above the knee. There is also enough wraparound so you don’t have to worry that it will fall open and be too revealing. It washes and dries easily, doesn’t wrinkle and folds up very small, so it’s perfect for travel. I also wear it cycling over those unflattering biking shorts. Just make sure you close the Velcro tabs when you throw it in the washer or everything will stick to it. Really, this is a perfect, multifunctional little skirt.

As many others have indicated, this skirt really is your perfect beach/vacation/cruise skirt. It is sleek and simple, and its wraparound style serves a variation in sizing. I'm a size US8, and the medium fit me really well. I love how it doesn't wrinkle in your suitcase. Its material is kind of like 'board short' material, so it dries really quickly. I hesitated because it's on the expensive side, but once this RipSkirt was in my wardrobe, I didn't regret buying it for a second. I'll be looking at other colours for upcoming vacations (I just bought it in plain black).

Do not think twice about ordering this skirt. It is perfect! It sits higher up on the waist for me than it shows in the picture so it's a couple inches above the knee I'm a dress size 12 or 14 and the large was perfect and the Velcro tabs adjustable so you don't have to worry about it coming in a perfect fit, you just adjust yourself! Material is very nice, I think I'll be ordering another!

I wasn’t sure which length to get (I’m 5’0†& 148 lbs) and ordered both. I love both. The length 1 length will be my daytime skirt over bathing suit and 2 length will be evening wear with dressier blouses. Perfect fit in Size 12-14. Lots of adjustability. Very flattering on.
