About this item

  • WEATHERPROOF PAPER: 80 sheets of white 100# Card Stock Paper per pack. Card Stock paper won’t turn to mush when wet and will repel water, sweat, grease, mud, and even survive the accidental laundry mishap. Make sure your printer paper stays RIGHT in the Rain.
  • COPY / LASER PRINT: Unlike water proof synthetics, Rite in the Rain won’t collect a static charge while printing and duplexing and there is no risk of melting in your machine. Ideal for use in laser printers, such as: HP, Brother, Lexmark, Canon, Epson, and Xerox. Not for inkjet printers. What's printed on Rite in the Rain Paper won't wash off.
  • WRITE IN THE RAIN: When wet, use a standard #2 pencil or an all-weather pen. Standard ballpoints and permanent markers will work when paper is dry. Water-based inks will bead or wash off Rite in the Rain Paper.
  • REAL PAPER: Since Rite in the Rain is a wood-based renewable paper it can be torn, cut, burned, and recycled like standard copy paper. Rite in the Rain for trail maps, signs, outdoor posters, or any form you need weather-proofed.
  • RECYCLABILITY: In spite of Rite in the Rain’s durability, it’s as recyclable as standard copy & multipurpose paper, which is untrue of synthetic or poly coated waterproof papers.

Rite in the Rain All-Weather Card Stock is great for signs, important documents, cards, letters, and more. Protect your notes and documents with our water-resistant, stain-resistant, archival-grade, heavyweight card stock.

I used this paper to mark campsites in a field for a camping event I hosted. I punched red marker flags through each sheet of cardstock and stuck it in the ground in the correct spot. Then I wrote on each sheet with a fat black permanent marker. The cardstock held up all weekend, even though Saturday we had constant rain all day. The cardstock did get a little bendy in all that rain, but the marker writing never faded and the cardstock never fell apart. So this did exactly what I wanted and worked great!

Purchased for a DIY cookbook. Use writing instruments as directed and you will have no issues with smearing, etc! Sharpie does not bleed through. Not as opaque as hoped, but didn't notice bleed through when printing double-sided. Feels like paper, tears like paper.

I got this paper so to make a notebook for my bug out bag. So far so good! The paper has a really neat texture to it, and is proving to work as expected. The thickness is about the same as regular cardstock. I’m cutting the sheets in half with a sliding paper cutter. It’s easy to cut, and also easy to punch for the binding.I am using an HP laser printer, and it’s working great. Both the black ink and color ink come through very well.I’m a little bit of a pen nerd (... okay that’s a lie, a lot bit.) To test the paper, I tried a bunch of different common brands of pen, and then ran the page under the sink. The only pens that didn’t stay were gel and fountain, which is what I expected. When I let the water sit on the paper, it only got a little bit warped where the droplets were sitting. The printed grid didn’t smudge at all, and neither did the remaining writing.I did a lot of reading before getting this paper, and it has lived up to my expectations for sure. I’ll buy it, and other Rite in the Rain products, again.

(Read the last paragraph for a summary)I bought this paper expecting to be able to make 100% waterproof equivalents of any card-stock print we make - business cards, hard covers, etc. I was also looking to make reusable notepads (Think of a DIY Rocketbook without the scanning gimmick). Looking back I can see my expectations were a bit high, so I was let down when I began using this. However the manufacturer seems to have misnamed this. This isn't actually a 100# coverstock. I'm not sure why it's advertised as that since 163 gsm is actually more of a 60# cover or 110# text paper. In English: it's just not that thick. I tried making business cards out of this and while it worked insofar that they printed and were thicker than copier paper, they still didn't feel like cards. Yet they're also too thick to work as a text-weight paper. It's this weird in-between that I'm sure has a use but I can't think of it at this time. Also, I haven't tested a full 8.5x11 sheet, but I can say that once you cut into this, it's not waterproof. Water resistant, definitely, but I soaked one of the business cards in a cup of water for about 20 minutes and it could tear apart. Bear in mind that this is a total nitpick and I'm not actually unhappy about this - the fact that it didn't immediately fall apart after soaking it in water for 20 minutes is impressive.Lastly, and this is something that isn't really a big issue either, I noticed that laser printing on this and using the eraser of ParKoo Erasable Pens seems to move the toner/coating around a bit. Considering this is a super-specific "issue" I'm not worried, I'll just wipe off my sheets with some water.Overall the paper is quite impressive - it's very water resistant even when cut down. It also seems to be cheaper than some synthetic papers and, unlike synthetics, it's biodegradable. It definitely has uses (as shown by the other Amazon reviews). My only real complaint is that it isn't really a 100# cover.

Great product! Used this to make price tags for live plants that wouldn’t get destroyed due to moisture. This paper gives great durability and clean resolution. Just be sure to READ and use a LASER printer. Don’t expect to be able to print on WATERPROOF paper with an inkjet.

Our clients love this product. Very useful and high quality. Beats any other products out there. We tried different products before we provided this paper for our clients and they protect from more than just water, anything liquid!

I absolutely love the product and have bought several reams each year over the past 2 years, but my only concern is its availability is sporadic in Canada. Even Amazon only has it in stock 50/50.Note: If you are finding problems with it smearing, you need to set your printer's preferences to "thick paper" or "thicker paper" - this slows down the printing speed so the printer's fuser has adequate time to heat and melt the toner so it doesn't smear. I have a $60 cheap laser printer and it always smears under the fast setting but always holds up well under slower setting. This is also true of static buildup - slower print settings helps to avoid static and paperjams. But please, manufacturer, make your product consistently available. Thanks!
