These laser diodes are in a compact enclosure and are super bright. I need them to be PCB mountable, so I will have to come up with a way of doing that. Regardless, will keep these and would buy them in the future or recommend them to a friend.A note to Amazon.com... For some reason the review form is asks about whether this "toy" (!!!!!) is suitable for the selected age. Needless to say, THIS IS NOT A TOY! Therefore, I am not "choosing user's age" and whether "the toy is suitable for the selected age."

a 3v lithium battery worked pretty well, it can shoot very far away and still be clear. Also very small, so there's many creative possibilities as to where you can put it. Just be careful because it is fragile.

Hooked up to 3V they are so dim you cant see them 5 feet away, the bag was marked 3V, but when I run at 4.5 they seem to run well, not sure if I got the wrong kind or what....

I 5 packs of ten and they all worked with no adjustments needed and all of them were very well focused which made assembling my laser disco ball much quicker and easier.

Attached it to 9v, and it burned. Kinda hard to see on target far away…up close is good though.
