I have used road pro products before and was happy with their performance. I used the skillet they make and was happy with it. I am sure I will be just as happy with this item. It looks well-made and easy to use. Plug and play, no knobs or switches to fiddle with. You will have to install the handle on the lid. I found that it cooks better if you don't overload the pan. DC current doesn't apply the same amount of heat as electricity. This will increase cooking times. These DC cookers work good given extra time to cook and are not overloaded. I got the aluminum pans to go in my roaster for less mess and easy clean up. Pan can be removed from roaster and eat from pan if no plates are available. I plan to use in RV, camping, hunting and power outages. Great for traveling, RV's, tiny home, camping, dorm room, apartments, power outages to cook or warm small meals. I would buy again.

I like to make healthy foods while I'm away from home. I use a glass Pyrex container on foods that have liquid. On salmon, burgers, chicken, quinoa pancakes, etc., I use parchment and wrap that in foil.I have (2) of the hotplate style units and both are junk! Neither of them have a good zipper, one of them arrived with the on/off switch compartment with too short of screws so it comes apart.Save yourself the headache of purchasing the wrong unit and just get this one! Food gets hot fast. It works amazing.

This is an amazing buy! I recently got a camper and I often go car camping and wanted something easy to cook with. I was skeptical mainly because I didn't know how powerful it would be and then also I wasn't sure exactly how big it is. It is perfect for one person and can easily make a meal for two. I have made cheeseburgers in it as well as chili. When I make chili I use two cans regular size of beans and 2 pounds of ground beef and it fits perfectly! It heats up pretty quickly and honestly everything I've made has taken roughly 20-30 mins cook time for everything. This has been a GREAT buy!! (I also purchased a large pack of the same brand throw away tins for this- which I recommend! So easy to toss after use and no mess!) I recommend this to anyone needing to cook on the go!

This product is defective.It has melted at the connection point.Only had it 1.5 months and probably used it 10 times. Never left it unattended or plugged in for long periods at a time.Of course it’s beyond the return date.Not cheap, but now it’s useless and I don’t have money to waste.

It works pretty good for a truck driver. It took about 35 minutes to heat it to a max of 268° F. I used an oven thermometer to test it. I made the mistake of plugging it into a splitted outlet instead of directly into a 12 V outlet and it burned the inside of the split outlet up and I had to get a new one. It says on the directions not to use a splitter, because most splitters don't have enough power capacity to handle it. If the manufacturer will add a temperature control knob on the unit to just keep food warm or whatever, I will give it five stars!

Used it to make some grilled cheeses and then warm up my corned beef and cabbage retained the moisture awesome but went to use a third time and noticed the switch was stuck in the middle, well I needed it so popped out the switch to check it/possibly replace the $3 switch and noticed the wire nut melted into the wire shorted out and melted the switch. I'm going to fix it so I know it won't happen again! Could be a one off thing so not to upset because I can't find anything else like it. Upgraded the wire nut and replaced the switch and cooking perfect again, very simple construction! 8 screws under the rubber seal and 3 more to access the wiring.

This cooker is awesome! It is much more than a warmer, it is a cooker. It gets the food really hot in approximately 30min. I heated a full pan of Mac n cheese(had a little scorched cheese at the bottom of the pan because that's how hot it gets) and a full pan of baked beans in it for a family outing. It does not come with the pans, I big disposable pans.

This is by far the best value, and I use it at the golf course. I hook it up to one of the batteries under the seat. I needed to cut the lighter plug off and wrap the positive and negative wires to the positive and negative post on the one of the batteries under the seat of the golf cart...don't get caught lol. I bring all types of foods but the quick and easy all-time favorite while we play golf is the beer dogs or the polish sausage dogs cooked in beer. I put a cooking bag in the crock they are a little big but it holds a family pack of hot dogs or sausages that cook in beer, and it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get piping hot.No one can beat the price and the Amazon same day delivery.

Hubby and I are long haul trucking. I cook meals at home and freeze in foil pans. It defrosts and repeats within a couple hours. I also did chicken strip and they were crispy.The vent hole in lid allows the excess steam out... plus it has a on / off switch. We love it.

Bought for my son who drives for a living and he’s fed up of paying through the nose for rubbish food.Bought this item after trying other similar items. Wasn’t confident of its performance but was amazed when my son phoned me after a hot delicious meal ( with veg in! )Well worth the cost and would highly recommend

Omg this should come with a warning that food will smell good youll pull over to eat. I made a meal for a family reunion and then cooked it on the way. It was an awesome dish, nice n hot, love this thing
