The 2 mm Terraprene neoprene provides warmth and cushioning and the durable, synthetic leather palm reinforcement that extends over the top of the glove provides added protection where it’s needed most. It’s lightweight and designed for applications like knot tying, rigging, line tending, or anywhere finger dexterity is a must. Textured armor patches on the palm and fingers provide unmatched protection and grip for paddling, rowing, and rope handling. For extra grip and durability, we've added sticky GripCote between the armored patches. Soft brushed fleece on the thumb and wrist is handy for wiping your nose or brow. The unique elastic wrist strap secures anywhere on the fleece wrist panel.

I did some 30-degree rope rescue training with the local search and rescue team and the gloves worked well. The gloves protected my hands, yet were flexible enough to allow for the dexterity needed when tying knots and manipulating the snap links.

Spent alot of time and frustration looking for good rigging and rappelling gloves. Super happy with these so far, they fit great and I can manipulate and tie ropes well with them on, they worked well for rigging haven't gotten to try them out rappelling yet. If they fail to stand up I will update this but they certainly don't feel like they will have an issue. Certainly worth the buy for belay gloves or rigging gloves.

If you are thinking about it, I promise you wont regret the purchase. I have been on a "glove-binge" for some time now. I have a nice collection now. I know what's good, and what's not up to par. And I'm talkin for rope climbing, tying, and repelling. I am hard on everything. These gloves are the last brand ill ever shop for I have a wide and stubby hand and this pair is by far the easiest to modify and most comfortable I ever had thanks Amazon I'm addicted btw

I'm usually between a medium and large in gloves. Ordered large to be safe, but these seem to run small. They're tight but the pinky fingers are too long. Not sure I can really wear or use these. Order a size up.Leather is good quality it seems.

Love these gloves. I’ve worn cmc and mostly PMI gloves over my career. Both gloves for me always give out on the index finger. RNR seems to have solved that with the reinforced index finger, while maintaining flexibility and durability. Excellent gloves at a fair price.

Split seams in less than half a day of rope training. The cheap brown jersey gloves are stronger than these. Don't bother.

These are really comfortable nice gloves. They're very breathable which is nice if you have hands that sweat a lot like me. The breathability does mean though you have to be careful about what you use them for. For most everyday physical chores they're fine and work well. But they probably won't keep your hands warm in the cold or protect your hands from chemical spills. I also don't know what level of cut protection these might have. I'm sure the leather parts would hold up well, but I'd be careful using this around sharp objects like raw metals or sharp acrylics. They look and feel nice and they're pretty easy to put on as well.
