First let me start by saying this thing is Spectacular. It meets every expectation of what I was looking for. I give it 10 out of 5 Stars. I can't say enough about how great this Amplifier is. I read all the reviews I could because I had upgraded speakers in cars before, but never installed an Amplifier. My main concern was making sure that I purchased a amp that was not going to overheat and go in to protect mode. Not once has this amp done that due to heat, NEVER ! It's mounted on the back of my Toyota Camrys back fold down seats and it gets hot in there in the sun and still has never overheated. I'm pushing 4 Pioneer TS-A6990F 5 way 700W max and 120W max continuous RMS 6×9's with it. 2 in the front doors and the other 2 in the back dash and 2 Pioneer TS-B350PRO 250W max and 100W max continuous RMS, 3-1/2" High Efficiency Bullet Tweeters in the dash with a Cerwin Vega 7- Band EQ770 Equalizer in the dash with a Podofo Android 7" touch screen double din without a CD-drive. Just Bluetooth and WiFi and any Android apps you want to install on it w/50w×4 of which have its 50w of power set to or turned off in the settings. So that being said, I have each speaker on it's own channel. Also I have no subs as of yet. Really don't need them. The Pioneer TS-A6990F 5- way 6×9's have phenomenal Bass and that's what I searched for before I purchased them. They handle alot of bass and sound good doing it. Right now I have the 2 tweeters up front set on HPF filter on the 2 channels they play off of and set to 4K so with the 2 super Tweeters that each 6×9 also have and the awesome woofers they have for Bass this sounds incredible. I have the volume on the deck at 100% and the amp levels at only 50% even though the speakers can handle much more without distortion and I control the volume with the volume knob on the Equalizer, because the deck is touch screen so I didn't want to take any chances at accidentally turning the volume up too high with an accidental touch. The knob on the EQ is safer. So going by the Amp specs I'm pushing 95watts to each speaker without the chance of ever going higher than the each speakers RMS. With this being said, THIS ROCKVILLE dBM65 MARINE AMPLIFIER ROCKS !!!!!!! It has never went in to protect mode except once and that was not for over heating. It was because I had used speaker wire end plugs that said their outside caseing was non conductive and they were touching and causing a short, because GUESS what the Manufacturer of those speaker plugs LIED ! So once I corrected that problem no more problems. I did install a 5" inch USB fan and a USB power port in the trunk to power the fan to blow air on the Amplifier just in case, but with and without the fan it has never overheated. ROCKVILLE, Thank you so much for making a great Amplifier. You will get my money in the future if and when I ever want more power.

I had a 5 year old Wetsounds Syn 6 channel amp in my boat that is $1,000 to replace. After it kept having a protection fault error that shut off amp on the water and killing everyone's vibe I had to take action. Either send to Wetsounds for expensive repair and weeks with no sound, or take a chance. I'm glad I took a chance with the Rockville DBM-65. Build is solid, packaging great. My buddy kept the wetsounds pre-amp installed and just replaced the amp. Dropped in without problem and works like a charm. Really pumps up the volume, as much if not more than the Wetsounds. It's still early in boating season so if anything changes I'll update, but so far it's a great purchase and very happy with it.

After flooding my sunken BBQ and making it a new "smaller pool", I fried my old marine amp. I was looking for a 6 Channel Amp with big sound. I was using it to power 6 Bose Free Space 51 Speakers in my outdoor tropical paradise. I was a novice to understanding a lot of the features on there compared to my last amp, but there are enough YouTube tutorials out there to help me a long. I don't have a lot of amps to compare it to because I haven't had to use to many in the past, but I have read enough on them to know that it is a great bargain, I didn't want to break the bank (and my speakers), so I had to be careful not to blow them out. I'm pretty sure they could handle the power, but the neighbors might start to hate the Hard Rock Rehab vibe we would be putting out. In short, I found the installation easy to do and the sound from the amp exceptional!

Let me tell you I bought a 3 year warranty plan with this amp channels 3 & 4 stopped working. I thought no problem I have a warranty I’ll send it back. Huh, that is if you can get ahold of them. They put me on hold for 20 min. Then hang up on me then I wait on hold about 10 more times then I finally get ahold of a tech he asks his questions “have you tried this and that, yes of course I have. Okay, I’ll email you all the info you’ll need to ship it back to us within 24 hours. Have I got anything in my email NO! It’s been 2 days and now it’s the weekend so there’s that. My god. I can say that the amp has held up well despite why I’m sending it back. It’s been pretty tough. Customer service needs to Step It Up!

Put it in my car because i couldn't find one with six channels that wasn't a thousand dollars. Only thing: do not put the mic near the amp. Messing around with the mic for fun and blew a fuse I then couldn't find for an hour.

Very nice amp. Hooked up 4 eight inch kicker wake bar speakers. Sounds great and still have channels to add subwoofers. Plenty of power and with the LED illumination it looks good too. Very happy with purchase.

We bought this amp last year for our biat and one of the channels is causing a crackling noise in the speaker. We have replaced the speaker and wiring so the are not the issue. This amp was not cheap so we are unhappy.

Got this amp hooked up to two 10 inch kicker marine free air and 4 Polk 6.5s in my 24ft Yamaha boat.all running off a Clarion db7 deck.i am amazed at how much tuning you can do with this amp.i got the low pass on the subs and high pass on the polk.25 years ago I was using amps and external crossover's.and a good amp was starting at $400.00. today this Rockville amp and no crossovers less than $200.and let me tell you.the sound is very intensely loud running all 6 speakers.this amp less than 200.00 is an absolute steal.
