Rockville RDSM10 Dual 10" Shallow Mount 0.56 Cu Ft Car Sub Enclosure Box
The RDSM10 dual sealed speaker box is made in the USA with Grade “A” 5/8” MDF wood. We use 5/8" VS 3/4" in order to keep the mounting depth of the enclosure as shallow as possible. This enclosure is made with precision cutting machinery by industry experts that have been making these enclosures in the USA for over 20 years. All Rockville enclosures come with a customized enhanced glue that is unmatched by any other manufacturer. That means that the carpet will stay in place and not rip or tear. The 5/8” USA MDF is much stronger then any type of import wood. This will keep your box performing at an optimal level by not flexing and distorting your woofers. Your woofers will thank you! EVERY Rockville enclosure is not only glued at all joints but stapled as well. If that wasn’t enough we add a layer of silicon to every seam! This makes your Rockville enclosure rock even more!

Let me start by saying, this box could be worth a whole lot more. I purchased this box, installed a set of Rockford Fosgate 10" shallow mount p3's. It sounded awesome, at first. From the moment I felt that baseball bat hit the back of my seat I said to myself, uh oh I should have...., but that's the problem with buying a cookie cutter style box. Most of us buy these boxes for the simple convenience of plug and play. To tune these to fit your specific subs is fairly easy. Need less air space, glue a block of wood inside it, need more air space add poly fill. Now for the straight of it. I'm not a fan of 5/8 constructed boxes, they rattle and blow apart, creating an air leak and loss of volume.Cons: 1st this box did indeed blow apart, silicone will fix that. So I pulled the subs out and siliconed the corners2nd the spring terminals are the cheap push in style. I did silicone those in before putting the box to work. After sealing the box up with silicone, they blew out.Both of those problems are easily fixable 10 bucks for better screw in style terminals and 3 bucks for a tube of silicone. There is one pro, bang for the buck, this box is extremely affordable, and worth the money for what little extra you may want to put into it.On the conclusion if this box was made of atleast 1, 3/4 inch panel either the front baffle, or the rear panel, glued with something better than normal wood glue, and a better set of screw in type terminals it would easily be worth 90 or more dollars.

Quality build, quality finishes, this is the perfect box for your shallow subs. Put two Kicker CompRT10s in this box and holy cow does this thing sound amazing...seriously, takes up MINIMAL trunk space, worth every penny.

Very Shallow box was surprised that my subwoofers actually fit perfectly only drawback was no bass ports and smaller box doesn't sound as good. If you are planning on installing into a truck this box is very narrow and you will probably want to mount it down or wedge stuff behind and front so it doesn't fall over. You can also lay it flat in the trunk or hatch of a car/van etc
