Unit arrived damaged and unusable. appears to have fallen. leaked oil all over outside. One air filer is missing being completely broken off.

Really well made compressor, quieter than I expected, and very slow to leak down. I am very impressed so far, but we will see how long it lasts. I am expecting it to last for many years based on Rolair's reputation, but I don't want to wait that long to submit a review.

This was a vast improvement over the crummy ‘consumer’ oilless compressor I’d used for years. It’s not as quiet as I would have liked (when I called Rolair to ask they stated 80db for this machine, and it’s twice that volume at 90db), and I disassembled and damped the safety cage which helped immensely, as much of the noise is rattling. This is likely not a big deal for most, but if it’s going somewhere that you’ll be exposed to it, quieter IS better. It has ample reserve for my needs (predominantly feeding a Koolmist system, or the occasional quick use of my sandblasting cabinet) and the output of the compressor itself was enough to keep up the blast feed even when the reserve tank was low. The draincock lever feels like plastic, so time will tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but otherwise I’m satisfied with this, so far.Would I have been better served with a two stage machine? I don’t know. I don’t use this the same way someone with high demand might. It’s certainly not running a lot. But, when I need it, it’s more than enough for my uses.

I have not used it much yet but so far, so good. It arrived on time and in good condition, despite the lack of crating. It came on a pallet only, with plastic wrap around the compressor. The shut off valve handle was a little bent but no real problem, easy fix. Install and wiring was easy. It came pre-filled with oil and all there was to do was turn it on. Runs pretty quiet for a unit of this size and recovery is much quicker than my Husky 60 gallon. I'll update this review later if I have trouble with it but, so far it's working great.

Had this compressor a few months now and it has ran when needed with no issues. It was shipped promptly. It is a high quality piece of equipment. Pros: The pressure switch has plenty of room for the electrical wiring. Electric motor is rated for either 208 or 230 volts. Cons: None. Very happy with this purchase.

After reading comments in numerous reviews about the problems that can occur getting service and parts, I decided to buy the air compressor locally from a business with in-house service and expertise. Rolair is a well established USA company that has three generations of experience producing air compressors. As with other companies (IR, Qunicy, CH) they use a blend of global/foreign and domestic parts. Both the vendor and Rolair have been helpful and knowledgeable. Making the 230v electrical hook-up was straight forward and the unit started right up filling the 60 galleon tank in about 6 minutes. I don't need the higher PSI of a 2 stage compressor or the added expense. This single stage Rolair produces more than enough CFM for my needs. None of the air connections had leaks and the tank pressure has held steady over time. The compressor kicks in and out per the specifications and it is not especially loud. I am very satisfied with the purchase so far and will add comments if any issues arise.
