The accordion of my dreams. Fabulous features, great sound amplified or standalone. The bellows were a little stiff but were great after adjustment. Highly recommended for a starter or accomplished player. Additional instrument voices available on the Roland web site. Really pleased with this purchase.

Aside from the tons of features this thing has that you can learn about on Youtube, the main reason I got this is because I share a wall with neighbors, and a standard acoustic accordion will absolutely penetrate walls with its powerful sound - so I'd have to wait until my neighbors were gone before I could practice with my acoustic. This digital accordion has the same button and key sizes and arrangements as any acoustic accordion, and you can play it on low volume and also with headphones on, so you're not disturbing anyone and can practice to your heart's content.

I purchased this accordion to learn the button accordion, assuming that the primary difference from a keyboard accordion would be the right-hand button layout while the bass button layout would remain the same. Additionally, since this accordion is made by Roland—a brand known for producing high-quality musical instruments—I had high expectations.However, after testing it, I was disappointed for several reasons:Power Issues – When using batteries as the power source, the accordion frequently shut down unexpectedly. As a result, I had to rely on the power adapter to play. I’m unsure whether this issue was due to the battery type or a defect, but it was a major reason I decided to return the instrument.Sound Quality – The sound quality did not meet my expectations compared to a traditional keyboard accordion. In particular, when playing higher notes, the volume noticeably decreased, making the sound feel unbalanced.Complex Configuration – While I understand that this is a powerful instrument with many customization options, as a beginner learning the button accordion, I would have preferred a default configuration that closely mimicked the sound and feel of a traditional keyboard accordion. This would have made the learning process much smoother.User Manual Issues – The user manual is not very beginner-friendly. It took me considerable time to figure out the setup, and despite my efforts, I still couldn't achieve the sound quality I was looking for. This was quite frustrating.Overall, while the Roland FR-1X has potential, it fell short of my expectations due to power reliability issues, sound quality inconsistencies, and a steep learning curve for configuration. I hope this is an isolated problem occurred in this model. I might try other button accordions produced from Roland in future for its build quality and brand name.

I looked into a lot of possible chromatic accordions suitable for beginners before I settled on the Roland FR-1xB. This is the button version which is a bit more challenging at the beginning than the piano version. The accodion looks beautiful and of great quality. It is a technology marvel considering all the sounds and configurations you can select from. Sor far everything I tested worked great. It works with batteries equally well as with the power adapter that came with it. The fact that you can use the headphone is an excellent feature, as it allows you to practice without disturbing anyone at home. The accordion arrived within two weeks from when I ordered it, which is pretty remarkable given the fact that it shipped from Japan; which brings me to the only disapointing issue in the whole experience- the user manual is in Japanese, which makes it useless. The Roland FR-1xB is a fantastic musical instrument that is worth its price. Highly recommended.

I’m very happy with this accordion so far. I’m incredibly impressed by how good it sounds, especially when amplified. I can also plug in my headphones to practice in silence, which my family appreciates.

ボタン鍵盤に変えましたが、初心者と指サイズが大きい人にはピアノ鍵盤がいいです！ボタン鍵盤は3オクターブ！ピアノ鍵盤は２オクターブです！勿論オクターブはそれぞれ演奏時に変えれますが一つ余分な行動がいりますから奏者しだいです。
